Let’s talk about some Summer Memories
When it comes to summer memories one of the most prominent memory in my mind is the trip we took to a nearby beach town named Digha with my family and another family. The reason this was special and has a deep meaning in my mind is because this trip wasn’t supposed to happen but everything fell in place last minute and we were able to enjoy some beach vibes for the summer.
For starters we as a family have a rule of spending Holi which is a festival of colours in India together and it happens to fall near Sumner which means we can plan for a good getaway and that was exactly what we did and I have to say I have just fond memories of the trip and even till date when we meet up we talk about those couple of days by the beach.
For the first day we reached our destination and just after getting fresh in our hotel rooms we just immediately went to the beach to feel the cool salty breeze, which felt freaking good. If that was not enough we encountered a group of people taking others to the sea in their Dingy Boat.
Now if I have to be absolutely honest I was scared to death as I was the only one who couldn’t swim and I had very little faith in the life jacket that was given to me. But I survived and somehow I managed to have the most fun as I was at the forefront of the Boat and water was splashing all over me.
After that we went back to our hotel and awaited for the next day as it was time for us to head to a new beach nearby and have some fun. Here they had table and chairs setup on the beach while the tide was on and the feeling of getting your feet wash by while having some Crab was amazing. I really would have loved to have a couple of Beers as well but I was with parents so I held that thought in my head. Needless to say that we obviously took our sweet time to bathe in the Sea.
This trip was full of adventures, last minute decisions and a memory to last a lifetime. Still till date we always try to stay together on Holi as that is a time when all of us get some straight holidays.
PS: Sorry for the photodump altogether since I am writing on my smartphone it was a hassle to take out each picture and paste it appropriately.
