Warm Bird - Oil painting

The one thing which was always pulling me back from trying more oil paintings was the cost. I was not aware of panels using for oil painting other than canvas boards. This made me back from trying more practice drawings.

But lately I came to know that there are somany ways we could use oil paints on especially for practice works. For example there are oil painting papers available in market.

In normal papers too we can try it out. It's true if we use it on normal papers, it might cause damage to the paper or colours might fade... Still we van try.

Here I tried oil paints over a normal paper.

Actually I made this based on a reference.
I want to show that to you too.

And finally here are the proofs for my ownership.

After sketching the basic shapes on the paper, here I never added priming or acrylic gesso over it.

As it were ment for practicing I didn't used varnish on the painting. I wanted so save money on that at least.
