I Started A New Couple Portrait on Oil
The coming Sunday after the very next one, I have an marriage function to go. And the marriage is of my college mate's. So I have decided to present him with a portrait of him made by myself.
So on a canvas board that I already bought, after applying primer, I started drawing the portrait of the couple. This time my plan was to make the art with oil paints.
I did this on a canvas stand made of logs by myself lately.
For getting good accuracy I decided to use grid methode. So I draw some grids on the panel, and completed the primary sketches.
After that I started applying colours. The colours were mixed well on a pallet board alredy.
First I was applying a light layer of colours mainly for creating skin tone. I was hopping after applying the first later I would get an abstract of the result I will be getting eventually.
After completing the first layer of skin colours I decided to go on painting the hair colours including the facial hairs. I choose the same color in a little darker tone for painting this.
I took more than 3 hours of time to reach upto this point from the beginning. So I decided to stop here hopefully will continue the work on coming days. However, the full work should be completed by next monday at least. Because ot will take more time to dry the oil colours.
