This piece was done using a negative color palette, which means viewing the painting with a negative filter reveals the "true" colors. (pictured below)
This piece took me approximately 20 hours to complete, and was quite a challenge compared to my previous negative pieces.
The astronaut was especially challenging since I had to think of my highlights as my shading and vice versa.

That is interesting that having blue and green tones it is friendly and lively but red once look like empty planet, destroyed by heat. Good work Chris and nice to see you around :)
