Entrance to the Vatican Museum. My friends and I came to this place 3 hours before the opening, so there were still few people. We went to the market, which is located next to the Vatican, went to a small cafe to drink coffee, and when we returned to the museum, we found that there was a huge queue of those who wanted to visit the museum. We had an organized group tour, so we were lucky that our group was standing almost at the entrance to the museum and we were among the first to enter the museum territory.

Мы сходили на рынок, который находится рядом с Ватиканом, зашли в небольшое кафе попить кофе, а когда вернулись к музею, то обнаружили, что стояла огромная очередь из желающих посетить музей. У нас была организованная групповая экскурсия, поэтому нам повезло, что наша группа стояла почти у входа в музей и мы вошли в числе первых на территорию музея.

Of course, there was very little time for our tour, just enough to "run" everything quickly and go out from the other side - to the main square.

Музей Ватикана - это не только экспонаты внутри какого-то здания, это вся территория Ватикана. Поэтому мы начали свою экскурсию с обхода внутренней территории. Конечно, времени на нашу экскурсию было отведено ровно столько, чтобы "пробежать" всё быстренько и выйти с другой стороны - на главную площадь.
Это не музейный экспонат, это просто красивая девушка.

There are a lot of sculptures, busts, just someone's heads. People, animals, and various objects. It's a whole story.

Идет настоящий живой поток и времени совершенно нет на то, чтобы остановиться и рассмотреть экспонаты. которые заинтересовали. Если пропадает к диктофоне голос гида, то это означает, что я отстал от группы и необходимо искать своих друзей в толпе. А посмотреть есть на что. Очень много скульптур, бюстов, просто чьих-то голов. Люди, животные, различные предметы. Это целая история.

Our guide focused our attention on this head. He said it was Julius Caesar. And he also asked: "Who else does this bust remind you of?". Well, who does this head remind you of?

На этой голове наш гид заострил наше внимание. Он сказал, что это Юлий Цезарь. И еще спросил: "Кого еще вам напоминает этот бюст?". Ну и кого же напоминает эта голова?

As they say in Russia: "gallop across Europe." I remember that the guide said something a lot in this painted room. All this beauty tells something. But the next tourists replaced others, people are running somewhere and in a hurry and everything is mixed up in my head. But I still have these photos! I have shown only a small part. But other people don't take pictures of anything. What will they remember?

Как говорят у нас в России: "галопом по европам". Я помню, что гид что-то много говорил в этом расписанном помещении. Вся эта красота что-то повествует. Но очередные туристы сменяли других, люди куда-то бегут и торопятся и всё в голове смешалось. Но у меня остались эти фотографии! Я показал лишь малую часть. А ведь другие люди ничего не фотографируют. Что они будут помнить?

In the photo of the beauty of this hall, some company has a monopoly. Only she has the right to take photos and sell views of all that beauty. Yes, I took a photo, but I adhere to the rule that "for personal use only".

Если я не ошибаюсь, то по этой лестнице кардиналы и епископы поднимаются в Сикстинскую капеллу, когда выбирают нового папу. В Сикстинской капелле запрещено фотографировать. На фото красоты этого зала имеет монополию какая-то фирма. Лишь она имеет право делать фотографии и продавать виды всей той красоты. Да, я сделал фото, но я придерживаюсь правила, что "только для личного пользования".


St. Peter's Cathedral is not a museum. This is an active cathedral, services are held there. That's why I don't show pictures of his insides. And this was the first photo taken at the exit of the Cathedral. I was impressed by this square. This is also a real open-air museum in free access.

Собор Святого Петра не является музеем. Это действующий собор, там проходят службы. Поэтому я не показываю фотографии его внутренностей. А вот это было первое фото, сделанное на выходе из Собора. Меня впечатлила эта площадь. Это тоже настоящий музей под открытым небом в свободном доступе.
