| Tomatoes, cucumbers and sweet peppers are the main food in our family in summer. These products are on our table from the moment of maturation. Cucumbers appear first, and from mid-July tomatoes and peppers. Oh, I almost forgot. The most important product since mid-May is onions. Every morning I open the greenhouses and take these ripe vegetables. Of course, not everything, but what comes to hand to make a salad for lunch or just eat just with salt and bread. Or without bread. | Помидоры, огурцы и сладкий перец - это основная пища в нашей семье летом. Эти продукты бывают на нашем столе с момента созревания. Сначала появляются огурцы, а с середины июля помидоры и перцы. Ой, я чуть не забыл. Самый главнейший продукт начиная с середины мая - это лук. Каждое утро я открыаю теплицу и парники и беру эти созревшие овощи. Конечно, не все, а то, что под руку попадется, чтобы сделать салат на обед или просто съесть просто с солью и хлебом. Или без хлеба. |

В детстве я тоже по утрам просыпался, выходил на крылечко, потом шел в маленький огородик, брал с грядки луковицу с зеленым пером, рвал пучок щавеля, доставал кусок черного ржаного хлеба и часто это был завтрак или обед. That is a great advantage to have your garden rich in vegetables and fruits, I like to eat the cucumber in a salad or the vinaigrette I like the tomato with bread and cheese or in a hamburger with lettuce, but all the ones you mentioned I eat mostly in salads!

Всё точно так же, разница только в том, что до своего огорода нам еще доехать нужно, поэтому овощи не всегда прямо с грядки... уговорить мужа переехать в частный дом, а лучше в деревню, не увенчалась успехом.
а мы с женой выросли в условиях "вышел на крылечко, нарвал овощи на грядке"... было время, жили на третьем этаже и каждый день летом в сад ходили. благо был в километре от нас. Но детям это точно было не в радость. :)

What a fantastic harvest my friend! Wish you lived nearer so we could swap home-grown produce 👩🌾 The long cucumbers are known as English cucumbers. My favourite kind of cucumber that I have grown so far is mini munch cucumber 🥒 They are quite crunchy and just perfect for lunch boxes.
It's even funny. And we call them "Chinese cucumbers" 😂😂😂
We salt small crispy cucumbers, marinate them in jars to eat in winter. And now we make such cucumbers lightly salted. Just one day in a salty solution and you can already eat.
