This is my entry for PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #122
It was last Summer when we had a chance to get creative with our wardrobe. One of the fashion companies announced a competition for the best photo in their dress and the winner would get a dress from the new collection for free. My friend and I decided to take on the challenge and do a photo shoot in a rustic style.
We chose a scenic spot near my house and set up the camera. We brought along some props to help us create the perfect rustic atmosphere and the turkeys and storks that live in my yard were our perfect models. We laughed as we tried to get the birds to pose for the camera, but all in all, the shoot went very smoothly.
After selecting the best photo, I decided to enter the competition. I applied the filter to the photo and submitted it to the company. Unfortunately, I didn't win the contest but the experience was still amazing. It was such a great way to spend a summer day and the photos that resulted from this are a great reminder of the fun we had.
Although we didn't win the competition, I'm still very proud of the pictures that I took of my friend. It was a wonderful experience and I'm thankful for the opportunity to express my creativity. I'm also thankful for the animals that were my models – the turkeys and storks in my yard. They made the whole photo shoot so much fun and unique.
