Ruskeala | Photo of the week #108 | Submissions post | The stones (#club100)

hello friends!!! I'm making today's post specifically for the contest https://steemit.com/hive-185836/@mister-omortson/photo-of-the-week-108-or-submissions-post-or-the-stones.
And I have something to show and tell. Since the theme of the contest is Stones, I immediately remembered my journey to the world of stones, namely to the Ruskeala National Park, which is located in Karelia.
In the recent past, there was a huge quarry where marble and other types of stone were mined, and now there is a national park where many tourists come and get acquainted with an amazing place.
There are layers of marble hundreds of meters deep into the ground, which was used for finishing palaces in St. Petersburg, and also in Soviet times marble was used for finishing metro stations.
In the last photo, you can see me when I was photographing the main quarry of the mine, which is now flooded with water and turned out to be a lake. It is possible to swim on catamarans accompanied by instructors, and you can fly through the air on a zip-line and get a dose of adrenaline.
There are also many small stones scattered throughout the territory, which tourists collect in pyramids, and souvenirs are made from some in local stone workshops (as in the second photo)
Perhaps I will come to Karelia again and will definitely stop by this Ruskeala National Park
