Old Town (#club100)
Hello friends!
Today we will go on a little trip to the old town of Rybinsk.
Rybinsk is believed to have been founded around the 9th century as a small fishing settlement on the banks of the Volga River. In 1777, the village of Rybnaya Sloboda was recognized as the town of Rybinsk, and its river port flourished after the opening of the Mariinsk Waterway in 1810. Today, Rybinsk is the second largest city in the Yaroslavl region of Russia, located 82 km from Yaroslavl. The historical center of the city has been preserved and restored, allowing visitors to experience the city's long and varied history. Rybinsk is a popular tourist destination, offering scenic views of the Volga River, ancient churches, and many cultural attractions. There are also a number of popular beaches, riverside parks, and historic sites for tourists to explore.
A unique "feature" of the city is the signage of shops and institutions in the city center. They are all made in the style of the late 19th and early 20th century. It is very cool!!! I recommend everyone to visit this city!

Тут уж лучше самому приезжать, отдыхать и рассматривать все достопримечательности)) ( интересно, а сами жители ходят каждый день и особо уже не впечатляются...все обыденно становится, как и во всех других городах))
В 2000-е мне довелось часто ездить в Вологду - именно в связи с сопровождением книжек, которые мы там печатали. Увы, тогда у меня не было камеры, снимал исключительно на сетчатку глаза. Те архивы приподзапорошились пылью чуть менее чем полностью :)
В Ярославль и в Каргополь очень хотелось бы когда-нибудь съездить. Но,кхм, вероятность невелика....
Рыбинск говоришь? У меня дочь с зятем на этой неделе 5 дней в Рыбинске отдыхали. В прошлом году тоже так же зимой туда ездили.
