Summer has come and I hope that many are enjoying this time of year.
But in the photo you see a small uninhabited island, which I photographed while visiting the big holy island of Valaam, during a trip to Karelia in August 2021.
These places are very picturesque and harsh at the same time. There are a lot of rocks and in winter these are hard-to-reach places. And in the summer we sailed for about an hour on a speedboat on the lake to reach this island.
