Two Grasshoppers Enjoying Their Mating

Under a shady tree, I stopped my scooter to rest for a moment. At that time I had just finished taking some photo spots around the Pusong Reservoir. The sky at that time looked so clear and the weather was hot enough, it made the throat dry and thirsty. But under the shade of the tree, I could feel a cool breeze blowing from the direction of the sea. Yes, the Pusong Reservoir is not far from the coastline, with the Cunda River beside it.

Di bawah sebatang pohon yang teduh saya menghentikan skuterku untuk beristirahat sejenak. Waktu itu saya baru selesai mengambil beberapa titik foto di sekeliling Waduk Pusong. Langit pada waktu itu tampak begitu cerah dengan cuaca yang cukup panas, membuat kerongkongan terasa kering dan dahaga. Tetapi di bawah naungan pohon itu, saya bisa merasakan angin sepoi-sepoi yang sejuk berhembus dari arah laut. Ya, Waduk Pusong berada tidak jauh dari garis pantai, dengan Sungai Cunda berada di sampingnya.
Just as I sat on the grass that grew under the shady tree, my eyes were fixed on the trunk. Oh my! a pair of grasshoppers enjoying their mating. I thought I'm the only one who enjoys the cool breeze. Oh, it turns out that the two insects are the same way, even enjoying it while mating.
Baru saja saya duduk di atas rumput yang tumbuh di bawah pohon rindang itu, mata saya tertuju pada batangnya. Oh astaga! sepasang belalang tengah menikmati kawin mereka. Saya pikir, cuma saya saja yang menikmati sejuknya semilir angin. Oh ternyata dua serangga itu juga demikian, malah menikmatinya sambil kawin.
The male grasshopper has a relatively small body than the female, and as far as I have seen, male grasshoppers have always looked smaller than female grasshoppers. That's what has been curious all this time, why do males always look smaller than females when they are mating? By the way, I enjoyed the show and was happy with the happiness they had.
Belalang jantan memiliki tubuh yang relatif kecil dari yang betina, dan sejauh yang pernah saya lihat, belalang jantan memang selalu terlihat lebih kecil dari belalang betina. Itu yang membuat penasaran selama ini, kenapa yang jantan selalu terlihat lebih kecil dari yang betina pada saat mereka sedang kawin? Ngomong-ngomong saya ikut menikmati pertunjukan tersebut dan ikut senang atas kebahagiaan yang mereka dapatkan.
