Greetings wonderful steemians in world of xpilar. Trust we are all doing great and healthy?

It's my pleasure to be one of the participate of the contest organized by @adeljose... Though is my very first time am blogging here, so I decided to use this great opportunity to be in. Hope am welcome?

Well; I would be sharing a story about tortoise and birds how they was able to meet with God in heaven.

I learned about this story some years ago by my granny so I keyed into it and took it for future purpose. Am glad to take part in this wonderful contest sharing my story

The story ✍️✍️✍️

Long time ago, in the animal kingdom there where a famine and all the animals were faced with the task of traveling out to neighboring villages to gather as much food as possible and bring it to the village square where the lion will distribute everything out to different animals present, the more they try to gather food, the more the famine became.

Moreso, the birds suggested that they should have a meeting with God in heaven, in order to find a lasting solution to the food shortage.

Therefore, the tortoise being a cunning animal, did not like the fact that he would not be part of the meeting, so he called the attention of the birds and suggested to them that it would be nice if one of the land animals could be part of the meeting. So the birds ignorantly agreed and contributed a feather each so that the tortoise could fly with them to heaven for the meeting.

On the appointed day, the birds and tortoise flew to heaven for the meeting. When they got there, the introduced themselves as "all of us", but the tortoise introduced himself to God as "all of you". Imagine the cunning tortoise 😊😊

After the deliberation with God, a banquet table was laid out and invited the birds and tortoise to the table. He told them that the food was for "all of you". Thus immediately, the tortoise jumped on the food and reminded everyone there that he was "all of you" and the birds were "all of us".
Chai!!!

The birds were furious about it so they decided to take their feathers back from the tortoise. This left the tortoise stranded because.he could not fly. The tortoise being a cunning animal, he appealed to the birds to tell his wife to bring out all the soft furniture so he could land on them. The birds told his wife to bring out all breakables and hard items in the house.

So the tortoise fell down on the fateful day from heaven hopping he would land on the soft furniture, but behold, he landed on breakables, hoes and cutlass, and that made his she'll to crack. That was how the tortoise got cracks on his shell.
