Here my entry for Weekly Contest, "Playing photographer #6 organized by @adeljose

Hello my dear Steemians!.

This is just a portrait of an amateur painter and the children that were very enthusiastic about watching step by step as the painter completed his painting. This incident took place at an elementary school where I live, when I accidentally passed by that place. I saw lots of children pacing back and forth on the school terrace, when I approached it turned out there was someone painting a natural scene on the next wall.

I'm immediately took out my smartphone to take pictures. After completing the shooting process, I also joined the children in watching the painter slowly complete his picture. He paid attention to every detail over and over again, which was natural because he was not a professional painter. This is what differentiates an amateur painter from a professional painter. Amateur painters usually take a long time to complete their work.

Amateur artists usually often wait for inspiration to come and then start drawing, while professional artists sit for hours working on every painting that inspires them. Amateur artists don't finish their work, while professional artists try to finish whatever they have. Amateur artists are so busy with their own perfectionism that many of their works are left unfinished. Professional artists know that the job of art is to show human weaknesses so they are focusedly involved in the process.

Sometimes an amateur painter can easily change focus on his work. Meanwhile, professional artists continue to focus on their artistic life. So there are so many differences in artistic life between amateurs and professionals. After feeling bored looking at him, I left the place, leaving the artist and the children playing in the school yard. I'm not talented in painting, so when I lingered in that place for a long time, I didn't feel comfortable anymore.
