The World of XPILAR - B&W PHOTOGRAPHY

This is the image of the St. Mary's Basilica, Bangalore, India. It is one of the oldest churches here in the city. The church was started in the 17th century as a small thatched roof establishment. It was consecrated in the late 18th century and was elevated to the status of a mini basilica in 1970s. The architecture is goth inspired and reminiscent of many churches found in the UK.

The Basilica is located in busy area of the city with a large local market in the vicinity where you could spend hours shopping. However, once you enter the church you forget all about the hustle and bustle outside and feel at peace with the world and get lost in sea of calm and serenity.
