Cryptocurrencies have experienced declines in previous years, but this time they coincide with the fall of the stock market. Added to this is uncertainty around financial guarantees, rising unemployment and geopolitical changes (including threats of wars).
This combination has created an atmosphere of insecurity and fear, leading to a significant sell-off of crypto assets, which in turn influences prices. However, this situation can also be seen as an opportunity to buy cryptocurrencies at lower prices, given their long-term potential.
Another reality that we cannot deny is the tendency towards debates about regulation and widespread adoption of these currencies. This brings increased attention from financial regulators.
While the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies has always been a key feature, there will always be a tendency to want to be regulated.
