The Kazan Kremlin is the chief historic citadel of Russia, situated in the city of Kazan. It was built at the behest of Ivan The Terrible on the ruins of the formal castle of Kazan Khans. It was declared a World heritage site in the year 2000.

The territory includes several Churches, Mosques and Museums such as; Spasskaya Tower, Cathedral of the Savior's Transfiguration, The manage Exhibition Hall, Museum of statehood history of Tatarstan and the Kul Sharif
Mosque.

It was developed by the troops of Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century But was reconstructed nowadays. Another beautiful construction is the Söyembikä Tower or Kazan's Mosque. The tower was built by Ivan the Terrible's artisan. According to legend, Russian tzar, Ivan the Terrible, fell in love with the gorgeous Söyembikä, the queen of Kazan, and asked her to be his wife, The Queen said she would agree only if tzar could build the tallest tower in the city. In just a week the construction was completed, Söyembikä went to the highest tier and threw herself down!
