Wildlife Capture: Asian Water Monitor

in WORLD OF XPILAR4 years ago

As I used to do when dealing with wild animals, away from their sight, I sneaked behind the trees or from something unnoticable and started shooting them from distance range, that what I did when I found this reptile on water. This lizard is called Asian Monitor (Varanus salvator) that mostly spend time in the water. Here we call biawak air, although due to its prevalence it is simply referred to as biawak. This species is semiaquitic and opportunistic that dwell a variety of natural habitat that resides in the forest and mangrove swamps. Habitats that are considered to be most important to this species are mangrove vegetation, swamps, wetlands, and altitudes below 1000 meters
