Setting out in rural area, this event has been annually conducted by local people. The youth and children were involved into firing the bamboo canon to celebrate the coming big day. One by one the boy took a part to fire the hole with a fire stick to produce the big sound from the bamboo holes.
Normally, it usually needs two person to manage one bamboo. One blew thru the hole and another one held a fire stick and when done blowing, the fire stick holder handed over to the blower. Then, boom..!
Before it really boomed out, the fire would stay for awhile upon the hole
it was like a battle field where the bamboo canon was lining on the designated higher ground and each of the body was ready to fire
