Some photos of a carpenter bee (Xylocopa of the subfamily Xylocopinae) . I saw it was hovering around before landing on a wildflower. I often found some of them spending time over the grassland. It's a black carpenter bee that is usually seen during the daylight. These photos were taken with DSLR Nikon D7000.
