So first of all let's understand what is the immune system? And how does it work?

Basically, the immune system is made up of special organs, cells, and, chemicals that fight infection/microbes. The main parts of the immune system are white blood cells, antibodies, the complement system, the lymphatic system, the spleen, the thymus, and the bone marrow.

The immune system plays a vital role in our body, It protects from harmful substances, germs, and cell changes that could make us ill. As long as your immune system is running smoothly, we don’t notice that it’s there. But if it stops working properly – because it’s weak or can't fight particularly aggressive germs we get ill. Germs that our body has never encountered before are also likely to make us ill.
