How Immune System Function

It's very easy to identify, how immune system work in your body. Each time your immune system works as a defense tools to fight against bacteria and viruses under control by way of preventing new infections or fighting against your current illnesses.

In every human being there are different integral parts of immune system that control his/her body. For example, lymphoid organs help to release white blood cells known as lymphocytes that help to regulate your immune system. This causes inflammation, that is similar to how your body produces a scab and swells up if you scrap your arm.

Now that we have understand how immune system works in your body, let's look at the type of food that can boost your immune system easily.

Foods that boost your immune system fast

These are some common examples of food that can boost your immune system.

1. Vegetables and Fruits :

  • Leafy greens (lettuce, kale, spinach and Swiss chard)
  • Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower)
  • Tomatoes
  • Apples
  • Carrots
  • Banana
  • Avocado
  • Pawpaw (Carica papaya)
  • Citrus fruits (grapefruit and oranges)
  • Berries (blackberries, blueberries and raspberries)

Many Vegetables and Fruits food, mostly cruciferous vegetables, berries and leafy greens, are high in antioxidants. There are also other ways that you can boost your immune system through your diet. These involves;
Vitamins C & D
Vitamin C is a very important antioxidant that can help control infections by increasing white blood cell production. Oranges, lemons and grapefruits are popular sources of vitamin C. It may come as a surprise to know they’re present in vegetables, too. Feel free to load up your plate with bell peppers, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower.

Garlic
Garlic give allicin when impacted by some sort of friction, like chopping or chewing. This sulfuric compound has antioxidant properties that can help protect your cells and produce more white blood cells.

Ginger
Ginger is is just as garlic which is a primary food, but its addition to meals or drinks can give your immune system a boost to fight infections. The use of ginger for medicinal purposes dates back thousands of years. When you’re not cooking with ginger, try adding it to your tea. Always do it in the morning.

Probiotics
Probiotics helps you to improve gut health, digestion and absorption of nutrients. Yogurt, beet sauerkraut, kefir, garlic and onion are grest probiotic options to be eating. It allows the good intestinal bacteria to flourish which further synthesises Vitamin B12 for a healthier gut.
