Human immunity has an important role to prevent disease attacks caused by bacteria, germs or even viruses. Immunity can be analogous to a fortress, meaning that the stronger the fort is built, the more secure it will be from enemy attacks.

When the COVID-19 pandemic is epidemic and strikes the world today, the body's immunity has an important role to play for everyone's health. Many tips can be done to increase the body's immunity that can be obtained naturally.

There are several natural efforts that can be done to increase the body's immunity, including:


1. Sunlight

The morning sun has an important role to play in increasing the production of vitamin D in the body. With its immunodulatory properties, morning sunlight can improve the immune system. One example of low intake of sunlight by the body can easily be attacked by the hepatitis virus which attacks the liver. Research has shown that the habit of waking up during a long period of time can be infected with the virus and in chronic conditions it can cause hepatic cirrhosis which is difficult to cure.

The sunbathing time ranges between 5 and 10 minutes and it is hoped that the skin can be directly exposed to the sun's rays.


2. Zingiber officinale (Ginger)

Ginger also has benefits as a spice that increases one's immune system, this is because ginger contains anti-oxidants (gingerol and curcumin), anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. This ginger can be processed with various types of preparations so that it can be consumed, for example by brewing it with hot tea, or even can be cut into small pieces so that it can be sucked like candy, but not everyone can do it because it tastes spicy and stings the tongue.

Another way can be done by boiling it first, then adding sugar, lemon or milk to improve the taste quality so that it is delicious to eat.


3. Curcuma longa (Turmeric)

This spice plant from Southeast Asia also has great benefits for efforts to increase body immunity, this is because it contains curcumin, desmetoxicumin, and bisdesmetoksikurcumin as well as various other types of compounds needed by the body.

Turmeric is recommended to consume no more than 490 mg every day for a week, if you consume more than this limit it can trigger a heart pump, and this is a risk for people with hypertension.
Turmeric can be processed in various ways, in Indonesia, there are those that process it in the form of liquid herbal medicine mixed with eggs and other spices.
