Before anything else, I would like to thank you @healthrepublic for giving us the chance to be here and to participate in this healthy lifestyle contest, and it is always my pleasure to be a part in this healthy community.

As the time goes by, we are now living in a new era, in a different way as before. This time, we are facing more struggles in our everyday life, and this time of pandemic really taught us on how to become stronger and how to find ways to get out the way it used to be.

Since I used to live in a hard way of living, I also used to learn on how to play the game of everyday life, I mean I able to handle every situation that might come, but right now this time, it's really so hard to face the circumstances. Many lives were taken away due to this times of crisis, many people suffer as well as the nature and every creatures. It is so stressful, right? While making this post, I could not resist my tears because I could see the people, on how to face this time, especially the cries of hunger, the shout of help and the noise of danger. But despite of everything, we have to be thankful that we are still have to chance to hang on. There are also many ways to hold on. And as you can see, there are also different ways to be stress-free, like making the best natural stress recipe. My way of doing this, is just simple. Since I want a healthy living, yet in an easy and affordable way, I want to make it as simple as it seems. But before that, I am also thankful that despite of having the hardships right now, my family is always there for me, as well as my good friends.

My best natural stress recipe, also comes from the very natural way of living. No preservatives added, but just pure natural. It is " Fried Camote ". Camote or also known as sweet potato. Yes, you read it right. Fried Camote refers to deep fried sweet potatoes with a coating of caramelized brown sugar. This is a common mid-afternoon snack here in the Philippines. It can make you feel full for several hours. This can also recharge your energy, it can make you hyperactive. We all know that camote has many benefits. It is one source of fiber, vitamins and minerals, that's why it is good for diet.

// Fried Camote Recipe //

Ingredients:

👉 Camote/ sweet potato (sliced, based on the thickness you want)
👉 Brown sugar
👉 Cooking oil

Procedures:

  1. Heat the frying pan, and pour the cooking oil.
  2. When the cooking oil heat-up, it's the time you put-in the brown sugar.
  3. When the brown sugar floats, put-in the camote and fry for 7-10 minutes. Flip the camote once in a while to allow the sugar to caramelized and sticky.
  4. Remove the camote from the frying pan one after the other. And let it cool down for few minutes.
  5. Serve, share and enjoy.

Camote is just a simple food, but as I do more research, I also found out the miracle benefits of camote. It may also have cancer-fighting properties, support healthy vision and immune system. It can help prevent vitamin A deficiency, it can help guard against ulcers, minimize the risk of cardiovascular disease, it contains antimicrobial properties. It can also help improve hair and skin and can help regulate blood pressure. It can also help manage diabetes, and it is also memory enhancing foods. But most of all, it can really help manage stress levels.

There are also many ways on how to cook camote, but fried camote is one of the easiest ways when you're in a hurry.
