Winters are really seen in making pitha in Bangladesh. Every house has pitha festival. It is mostly observed in villages. Pitha stalls sit on the streets of the city. Various types of pithas can be seen being made there. There are some remarkable pithas in our country which people usually make at home. One of these is Vapa Pitha, Chitu Pitha, Patisapata Pitha, Coconut Pitha etc. Vapa pitha is one of the favorite pithas of all It is very popular in Bangladesh.

My mom made bhav pitha at home a few days back. Rice flour, jaggery and coconut are required to make vapa pitha. My mother used to grind rice at home And I bought coconut and jaggery from the market. A lot of flour is required to make vapa pitha. My grandmother gave us rice to eat pitha. Every year she gives us rice to eat pitha. Now I will share how to make vapa pitha.

Ingredients for making Vhapa Pitha

Ricelike amount
Jaggerylike amount
Coconutlike amount
Waterlike amount
Saltlike amount

Preparation method of Vhapa Pitha

First, the rice should be soaked in water for 2-3 hours. Then the rice has to be powdered in a blender.

After that, you have to heat the amount of water. Salt should be added to that water. Then mix the flour with hot water. Water should be given in small quantity. Then the mixed flour has to be filtered through a sieve.

Then fill a vessel with water and put it in the oven. On the surface of that bone there is a lid. A leak must be taken between the lids. The steam that rises from the hot water. Those vapors can come out through the hole in the lid.

Then fill a small bowl with flour, jaggery and coconut And wrap the bowl with a cloth. Then it has to be placed on the lid of the bone. After 4-5 minutes the pita is ready.

This pitha is very popular. This pitha is sold in the market for 10 tk to 100 tk. I don't eat vhapa pitha made outside. If ever mom made pitha at home. Then eat pitha. It is not possible to eat more than 2-3 of these pithas. Adding coconut to these pies increases their taste manifold. Vhapa pita with date jaggery gives more taste. However, due to the high price of palm molasses, traders use sugarcane molasses in the market. According to me eating these pithas made outside is bad for health. So it is better to eat homemade pita. It will be good for health And making this pitha is very easy.
