Considerations
2024 is a particular year, it is considered the year of voting. In fact, in 2024 there will be political elections in more than 50 countries.
Below I list some of them:
USA
There will be presidential elections in the United States around November. Currently it seems that there could be a re-nomination of Biden and the return of Trump.
Russia
Political elections will be held in Russia in mid-March. Putin has already announced his re-nomination and it seems that the chances of him being re-elected are high.
Portugal
In Portugal the socialist prime minister resigned two months ago, there will be new elections in March.
United Kingdom
The voting mechanism of the United Kingdom says that after 5 years from the last elections the parliament must be dissolved and technically it is precisely in 2024 that new elections should be held. Theoretically we could even get to vote in early January 2025, but it seems that for now the most probable dates are either as early as May 2024 or in autumn 2024.
India
In India there are 1.4 billion people and 900,000 will go to vote for who should be the new prime minister. Currently the incumbent Prime Minister is Narendra Modi who seems to want to run again for a third term.
Mexico
Around the beginning of summer, it seems towards the beginning of June, there will be new elections in Mexico. The new president will get a 6-year mandate. Here we have a nice surprise, for the first time in Mexico, we have two women candidates in the two main parties.
South Africa
One of the founding members of the BRICS alliance will also go to vote. One of Africa's largest economies will hold elections after May.
European Union
Even if it is not a Nation-State, we also mention the European Union which will vote in the parliamentary elections.
Indonesia
The fourth most populous country in the world will also face general elections in February.
El Salvador
Attention, El Salvador will also vote in February. The State of El Salvador has become well known in recent years also for being the first nation to have adopted Bitcoin as legal tender. Nayib Bukele is the current president who legalized Bitcoin and who will run again.

Conclusions

Considerazioni
Il 2024 è un anno particolare, viene considerato l’anno delle votazioni. Infatti nel 2024 si voterà per le elezioni politiche in più di 50 Paesi.
Qui di seguito ne elenco alcune:
USA
Verso Novembre ci saranno le elezioni presidenziali negli Stati Uniti. Attualmente sembra che possa esserci una ricandidatura di Biden e il ritorno di Trump.
Russia
A metà marzo in Russia si terranno le elezioni politiche. Putin ha già annunciato la sua ricandidatura e sembra che le probabilità che sia rieletto siano molte.
Portogallo
In Portogallo il primo ministro socialista si è dimesso due mesi fa, a Marzo ci saranno nuove elezioni.
Regno Unito
Il meccanismo di voto del Regno Unito dice che dopo 5 anni dalle ultime elezioni il parlamento si deve sciogliere e tecnicamente è proprio in questo 2024 che si dovrebbero fare nuove elezioni. Teoricamente si potrebbe arrivare a votare anche i primi di gennaio 2025, ma sembra che per ora le date più probabili ricadono o a già a maggio 2024 o in autunno 2024.
India
In India ci sono 1,4 miliardi di persone e 900.000 andranno a votare per chi dovrà essere il nuovo primo ministro. Attualmente il primo ministro in carica è Narendra Modi il quale sembra che si voglia candidare nuovamente per il terzo mandato.
Messico
Intorno all’inizio dell’estate, sembra verso i primi di giugno, ci saranno nuove elezioni in Messico. Il nuovo presidente otterrà un mandato di 6 anni. Qui abbiamo una bella sorpresa, per la prima volta in Messico, abbiamo due donne candidate nei due principali schieramenti.
Sudafrica
Anche uno dei membri fondatori dell’alleanza BRICS andrà al voto. Una delle più grandi economie africane terrà le elezioni dopo maggio.
Unione Europea
Anche se non è una Stato-Nazione, citiamo anche l’Unione Europea che andrà al voto per le elezioni parlamentari.
Indonesia
Anche il quarto Paese più popoloso al mondo affronterà le elezioni generali a febbraio.
El Salvador
Attenzione anche in El Salvador si andrà a votare in febbraio. Lo Stato di El Salvador è diventato molto noto in questi anni anche per essere la prima nazione ad aver adottato Bitcoin come moneta legale. Nayib Bukele è l’attuale presidente che ha legalizzato Bitcoin e che si ripresenterà.

Conclusioni
Con un così grande numero di elezioni presidenziali in tutto il mondo, nel 2024 potremmo forse vedere alcuni assetti geopolitici cambiare inaspettatamente.
