THE DIARY GAME: 02.08.2020. - My 2st Day - Eataly the temple of Italian food culture. (ITA / EN).

As I told you in my previous post on the diary in the Quadrilatero district in Bologna, dedicated above all to the food trade, there is a very particular commercial structure.
This is the Eataly shop located in Via degli Orefici, 19, and which represents the example of a production activity that is considered all-Italian excellence.
Eataly is an initiative of the Emilian entrepreneur Oscar Farinetti who, with the FICO brand (acronym for Fabbrica Italiana COntadina) has promoted Italian gastronomic production all over the world by creating a chain of specialized shops of the highest level.

Its stores are located all over the world and Eataly is now a famous brand. In Bologna, in the Quadrilatero district there is one of these shops and I went to spend an hour to understand and learn the philosophy of this commercial world. The structure, which is located in the historic center, is spread over three floors and inside there are also the ancient remains of a building, perhaps in a church, which have been left in evidence on the right of the entrance. A comfortable escalator takes you to the various levels where you will find an orderly and reasoned set of products that refer to Italian eating. The products you find come from all over Italy and I can assure you that their variety will only surprise you.

Oil, pasta, jams, sweets, wines, sauces, dried fruit, in short, you will find many regional products selected on the basis of their quality.
It is a well-kept food exhibition and really very beautiful and interesting to see.
If you happen to Bologna you should definitely pay us a visit.
In the midst of food display stands there are some tables where you can eat something because even at Eataly you can compare food but you can also eat.

For this there are also special equipped spaces where you can comfortably take a coffee or sip a glass of good wine or eat a local specialty.
But that is not all. Part of each floor is dedicated to food literature.

On each floor you will also find a real library specializing in nutrition, recipes, gastronomy and food properties in general.
You can therefore deepen every aspect of Italian cuisine also from a theoretical point of view. In this well-stocked library you will also find guides that lead you to discover the best Italian itineraries dedicated to eating and tasting local products such as, for example, the famous wine roads.

At Eataly you also have the opportunity to take courses dedicated to cooking.
In short, Eataly is a place to spend pleasant hours, eat products of the highest quality and deepen the gastronomic culture of Italy.

THE DIARY GAME: 02.08.2020. Eataly il tempio della cultura del cibo italiano-

Come vi ho detto nel mio precedente post sul diario nel quartiere del Quadrilatero a Bologna, dedicato soprattutto al commercio alimentare, si trova una struttura commerciale del tutto particolare.
Si tratta del negozio di Eataly che si trova in Via degli Orefici, 19 e che rappresenta l’esempio di una attività produttiva che è considerata una eccellenza tutta italiana.
Eataly è una iniziativa dell’imprenditore emiliano Oscar Farinetti che, con il marchio FICO ( acronimo di Fabbrica Italiana COntadina) ha promosso in tutto il mondo la produzione gastronomica italiana creando una catena di negozi specializzati di altissimo livello.

I suoi negozi si trovano in tutto il mondo e Eataly è ormai un brand famoso. A Bologna , nel quartiere del Quadrilatero si trova uno di questi negozi e io sono andata a trascorrere un’ora per capire e conoscere la filosofia di questo mondo commerciale. La struttura, che si trova nel centro storico, si sviluppa su tre piani e al suo interno ci sono anche i resti antichi di un edificio , forse in una chiesa, che sono stati lasciati in evidenza sulla destra dell’ingresso. Una comoda scala mobile vi porta nei vari livelli dove trovate un insieme ordinato e ragionato di prodotti che si riferiscono al mangiare italiano.

I prodotti che trovate provengono da tutta l’Italia e vi posso assicurare che la loro varierà non può che stupirvi.
Olio, pasta, marmellate, dolci, vini, sughi, frutta secca, insomma trovate tanti prodotti regionali selezionati sulla base della loro qualità.
E’ una esposizione alimentare curatissima e davvero molto bella e interessante da vedere.

Se capitate a Bologna dovete assolutamente farci una visita.
In mezzo agli espositori di prodotti alimentari ci sono alcuni tavolini dove potere consumare qualche cosa perché anche da Eataly si compara il cibo ma si può anche mangiare.
Per questo ci sono anche degli appositi spazi attrezzati dove poter prendere comodamente un caffè o sorseggiare un bicchiere di buon vino oppure mangiare una specialità locale.

Ma non è tutto. Una parte di ogni piano è dedicata alla letteratura sul cibo. In ogni piano trovate anche una vera e propria libreria specializzata in alimentazione, ricette, gastronomia e proprietà degli alimenti in generale.
Potete quindi approfondire ogni aspetto della cucina italiana anche dal punto di vista teorico.

In questa fornitissima libreria trovate anche guide che vi portano alla scoperta dei migliori itinerari italiani dedicati al mangiare e alla degustazione di prodotti locali come, ad esempio, le famose strade del vino. Da Eataly avete la possibilità anche di seguire dei corsi dedicati alla cucina. Insomma, Eat Italy è un luogo dove trascorrere delle piacevoli ore, mangiare prodotti di altissima qualità e approfondire la cultura gastronomica dell’Italia.
