Giallo e blu e rosso sono i colori dominanti di questo meraviglioso e simpatico pappagallo, originario dell’America del Sud, molto noto per la sua longevità (vive anche sino a 70 anni) e le sue dimensioni (è infatti tra i più grandi pappagalli).
Sicuramente un animale che suscita molta simpatia!
Ho incontrato questo grande pappagallo all’interno del giardino di un museo, la Casa di Colon a Gran Canaria e, in un primo momento, confesso, ho creduto fosse finto!
Se ne stava su di un trespolo, in compagni di un’ altro bellissimo esemplare, tutto rosso.
Questa coppia coloratissima di pappagalli è indubbiamente il primo motivo di attrazione per chi visitava il museo.
Pappagallo molto docile e da compagnia, l’Ara blu e quello rosso si sono subito prestati per essere fotografati.
In realtà poi in viaggio ne ho incontrati degli altri, di pappagalli, questa volta verdi o bianchi, in una strada del centro storico di Rodi.

Anche questo era un punto di attrazione e di richiamo per un ristorante che lo teneva nel cortile.
Animali molto belli da fotografare, per via del loro piumaggio coloratissimo e brillante, i pappagalli devo dire che mi incutono sempre un poco di paura.
Sarà per via del loro becco o degli artigli…insomma: non penso proprio ne terrei mai uno in casa.

Yellow and blue and red are the dominant colors of this wonderful and friendly parrot, native to South America, well known for its longevity (it also lives up to 70 years) and its size (it is in fact one of the largest parrots) .

I met this large parrot in the garden of a museum, the * Casa di Colon * in Gran Canaria and, at first, I confess, I thought it was fake!

He was standing on a perch, in the companions of another beautiful specimen, all red.
This colorful pair of parrots is undoubtedly the first reason for attraction for those visiting the museum.
Very docile and companion parrot, the blue and red macaws immediately lent themselves to be photographed.
In reality then while traveling I met others, parrots, this time green or white, in a street in the historic center of Rhodes.
This too was a point of attraction and attraction for a restaurant that kept it in the courtyard.
Very beautiful animals to photograph, due to their bright and colorful plumage, I must say that parrots always scare me a little.
It will be because of their beak or claws ... in short: I don't think I would ever keep one in the house.
