Unforgettable Italy: Week 11 – Pizza in Rome @rosana6

Hello Italy community! Have a great start of the week! Here I present you my entry for week 11 of Unforgettable Italy, proposed by @girolamomarotta. I must say that I really like this contest, as Italy is a country that I love with all my heart, and that brings me too many beautiful memories that I have been gradually sharing with all of you.

My trip to the eternal city of Rome was my first journey out of my country, Venezuela; so it was very special for me. I was traveling with my best friend, and we positively had a lot of fun. Our trip schedule was full of extraordinary places to visit, but eating time was also very important, since we could taste the delicious typical food.

For foreign people like me, the most iconic dish of the Italian food is the world famous Pizza. I had the chance to eat pizza several times in different places; all of them were really good, and the fact of knowing that I was in its origin place made it more interesting, since I was with the pizza experts.

Another dish I remember trying was spaghetti with bologna sauce and side radicchio salad, and some other time, I tasted a great lasagna. Of course, a good traditional beer could not be missing; though wine was also an excellent choice sometimes.

Rome gave me many unforgettable moments. I certainly want to go back to that beautiful city of cobblestones streets and try some more delicious food and drinks.
