Unforgettable Trip Contest – Week 1 - Small walk in Rome!
Per iniziare questo nuovo contest ho scelto di condividere con tutti voi una bellissima passeggiata nella mia città, ossia Roma.
Come forse ho già raccontato, spesso mi piace girare senza una meta precisa per il centro storico, lasciandomi guidare da emozioni, colori, suoni e scoprire angoli e dettagli sconosciuti.
Spesso faccio la turista con le mie nipoti adolescenti che si entusiasmano quanto me difronte alle tante bellezze che la città offre!
La nostra passeggiata era iniziata dalla Stazione Termini e poi da li ci siamo dirette verso Piazza della Repubblica, riconoscibile per la bellissima Fontana delle Naiadi.
L’aspetto scenografico attuale di Piazza della Repubblica risale alla fine del 1800, un tempo su tutta l’area compresa tra la Stazione e il Quirinale sorgevano le Terme di Diocleziano, le più grandi mai realizzate a Roma, e ancora oggi visitabili e in ottimo stato di conservazione.
La passeggiata poi si è svolta lungo la lunghissima Via Nazionale, ricchissima di negozi di ogni tipo che ovviamente ci siamo divertite a visitare, oltre ai bellissimi palazzi d’epoca che catturano l’attenzione per mille particolari!
I palazzi di Via Nazionali risalgono ai primi del 1800, quando per volere del Re d’Italia venne urbanizzata la strada esistente per collegare velocemente e comodamente, la Stazione con Piazza Venezia e il Tevere.
Sempre in quel periodo furono costruiti bellissimi e lussuosi Alberghi, e la Chiesa Anglicana di San Paolo dentro le Mura!
Quando si passeggia nel centro storico delle città si perde la cognizione del tempo, c’è talmente tanto da scoprire che passano le ore senza rendersene conto, anche noi tra soste mangerecce e un pochino di shopping ci siamo ritrovate all’imbrunire sfinite ma contente della bellissima giornata e pronte a ritornare a casa!

To start this new contest I have chosen to share with you all a beautiful walk in my city, Rome.
As I may have already mentioned, I often like to wander around the historic centre without a precise destination, letting myself be guided by emotions, colours, sounds and discovering unknown corners and details.
I often act as a tourist with my teenage nieces who are as excited as I am about the many beauties the city has to offer!
Our walk started at Termini Station and from there we headed towards Piazza della Repubblica, recognisable by the beautiful Fountain of the Naiads.
The current scenic appearance of Piazza della Repubblica dates back to the end of the 19th century. At one time, on the area between the station and the Quirinale stood the Baths of Diocletian, the largest ever built in Rome, which can still be visited today and are in excellent condition.
We then strolled along the very long Via Nazionale, full of all kinds of shops that we obviously enjoyed visiting, as well as the beautiful period palaces that catch the eye for a thousand details!
The buildings on Via Nazionali date back to the early 1800s, when at the behest of the King of Italy the existing street was urbanised to quickly and conveniently connect the station with Piazza Venezia and the Tiber.
Also during this period, beautiful and luxurious hotels were built, and the Anglican Church of San Paolo dentro le Mura!
When you stroll through the historical centres of cities you lose track of time, there is so much to discover that hours pass by without you realising it, and even we found ourselves at dusk exhausted but happy with the beautiful day and ready to return home!

Grazie era un pochino il mio intento, mostrare la città strada facendo senza enfatizzare i grandi monumenti conosciuti da tutti!
Ciò che attira maggiormente l'attenzione sono le colonne, sembrano molto forti, in alcuni paesi gli edifici crollano così facilmente, lasciano le persone senza i loro beni, questo mi infastidisce
Sai a Roma resistono molto meglio gli edifici storici o quelli degli Antichi Romani, rispetto ai palazzi moderni ahahaha!
Non sapevo ci fosse una chiesa anglicana a Roma. L'unica vista al di là di Gran Bretagna e nord America era stata a Nizza (sud della Francia).
Sai in realtà ce ne sono altre sempre in centro città, e tutte risalenti alla fine del 1800.
C'è anche una presbiteriana?

La St. Andrew's church of Scottland, si trova sempre in centro vicino a Via Nazionale!
Non sono informatissima ma credo ci siano chiese di ogni tipo, Roma è una grande città e soprattutto è la capitale, ospita tante comunità diverse e ognuno ha la possibilità di seguire la propria religione.
In questo caso non si tratterebbe esattamente di religioni diverse (a meno che l'anglicana non lo sia "tout court" e segua gli "antichi sentieri", ma anglocattolica), ma di denominazioni diverse dove la diversità è dovuta a questioni interpretative, liturgiche e/o consuetudinarie.
