UNFORGETTABLE TRIP – 12 WEEK – Passeggiata a Salsomaggiore Terme

Spesso mi concedo delle lunghe passeggiate, senza una meta precisa lasciandomi guidare dalle cose che mi circondano e rimango sempre sorpresa dalle bellezze che si scoprono soprattutto nei piccoli dettagli.

E’ quello che mi è capitato quando ho visitato Salsomaggiore Terme, una bellissima cittadina in provincia di Parma, che mi ha praticamente rapito e entusiasmato.

Già avevo raccontato del mio amore per lo Stile Liberty e l’Art Decò e Salsomaggiore è il tripudio del Liberty, che si trova in ogni palazzo pubblico e privato con dei dettagli meravigliosi!

Ovviamente l’attenzione viene catturata dal Palazzo delle Terme Lorenzo Berzieri, realizzato nel 1923 ed intitolato al medico condotto che per primo capì l’efficacia delle acque termali di Salsomaggiore, ed è l’unico esempio al Mondo di Palazzo termale in Stile Liberty!

Vicinissimo alle terme si trova La Galleria Warowland, una costruzione particolare in uno stile che non conoscevo, il neomedevale lombardo, e la mia attenzione è stata subito rapita dal bellissimo chiostro che si apre su un delizioso giardino!

Tutto ruota intorno alle storiche terme, anche i tanti alberghi che con le loro splendide architetture non fanno che ricordare lo Stile Liberty e i fasti del passato di questa bellissima cittadina.

Quindi chiudo questa mia passeggiata con il Grand Hotel Regina, ricchissimo e sobrio contemporaneamente, che ha visto passare agli inizi del 1900 tantissimi personaggi importanti del tempo.

Che dire splendida passeggiata che mi ha catapultato indietro nel tempo e piacevolmente sorpreso per la sua bellezza di altri tempi!

I often take long walks, without a precise destination, letting myself be guided by the things that surround me and I am always surprised by the beauty that one discovers especially in the small details.

This is what happened to me when I visited Salsomaggiore Terme, a beautiful town in the province of Parma, which practically enraptured and thrilled me.

I had already mentioned my love for the Stile Liberti and Art Deco, and Salsomaggiore is the triumph of Art Nouveau, which can be found in every public and private building with wonderful details!

Obviously your attention is captured by the Lorenzo Berzieri Spa Palace, built in 1923 and named after the district doctor who first understood the effectiveness of Salsomaggiore's thermal waters, and is the only example in the world of a spa palace in Art Nouveau style!

Very close to the thermal baths is the Warowland Gallery, a peculiar building in a style that I did not know, the Lombard neo-Medieval, and my attention was immediately captured by the beautiful cloister that opens onto a delightful garden!

Everything revolves around the historical thermal baths, even the many hotels whose splendid architecture only reminds me of the Art Nouveau style and the past splendour of this beautiful town.

So I close my walk with the Grand Hotel Regina, very rich and sober at the same time, which in the early 1900s saw many important people of the time pass through.

What can I say, a wonderful walk that catapulted me back in time and pleasantly surprised me with its old-world beauty!
