Tutti noi amiamo il cioccolato e ci lasciamo conquistare da un ottima cioccolata calda, se ne mangia tantissimo ogni anno, in Italia circa 4 Kg arrivando fino ai 7 Kg pro capite dell’ Estonia, il paese più goloso di tutti!

Ma sapete che da qualche tempo con gli scarti del cacao si produce anche la carta?

Non so voi ma io adoro il cioccolato, e adoro anche la carta, soprattutto quella ecologica con una consistenza speciale e un odore di altri tempi, che si trova nei negozi specializzati per belle arti!

Per questo trovo questo connubio bellissimo. Infatti da un’idea della azienda Favini che produce carta ecologica sfruttando scarti di varie materie prime, è nata la Crush Cacao, ottenuta dalla frantumazione del guscio che contiene la fava di cacao.

Ovviamente già da tempo il guscio viene riutilizzato per produrre compost e biomassa, ma utilizzarlo per produrre carta aiuta ad abbattere del 15% la quantità di cellulosa vergine necessaria nella produzione, risparmiando l’abbattimento di tantissimi alberi, per ottenere una carta ecologica di alta qualità!

Tutto in un’ottica di economia circolare che sfrutta uno scarto per dare vita ad una nuova materia prima!

Che dire rimango sempre affascinata da tutto ciò che aiuta l’ambiente, mi fa sperare che possiamo diminuire l’impatto negativo che abbiamo sulla natura, migliorando la qualità della nostra vita, certo sempre piccoli passi, ma piano piano saranno significativi!

Quindi quando vi degusterete una tavoletta di cioccolato pensate che c’è anche una bellissima carta nata proprio da quel cacao!

I don't know about you, but I adore chocolate, and I also adore paper, especially ecological paper with a special texture and an old-fashioned smell, which can be found in specialty shops for fine arts!

That's why I find this combination beautiful. In fact from an idea of the company Favini that produces ecological paper using waste from various raw materials, the Crush Cacao was born, obtained by crushing the shell that contains the cocoa bean.

Obviously, the shell has long since been reused to produce compost and biomass, but using it to produce paper helps to reduce the amount of virgin pulp needed in production by 15%, saving the felling of many trees, in order to obtain high quality ecological paper!

All in the spirit of a circular economy that uses waste to create a new raw material!

What can I say? I am always fascinated by anything that helps the environment, it gives me hope that we can reduce the negative impact we have on nature by improving our quality of life, of course always small steps, but slowly they will be significant!

So when you enjoy a bar of chocolate, think that there is also a beautiful paper born from that very cocoa!
