Board games review: N°1 Munchkin Dungeon (ITA-ENG)

Oggi vi propongo la recensione di Munchkin Dungeon, un gioco in scatola ambientato appunto in un dungeon fantasy.
Io e il mio gruppo di amici nerd, la NERD ARMADA, abbiamo testato personalmente questo gioco e le foto sono state tutte scattate da me.

Il gioco si svolge su una plancia (tabellone di gioco), attraverso la quale i giocatori interagiscono spostando le miniature dei loro PG (le miniature azzurre).
Lo scopo del gioco è diventare il più famoso avventuriero di dungeon della partita e per farlo bisogna avventurarsi nelle varie stanze e scendere sempre più in profondità.
Nell'immagine sottostante potete vedere come si presenta la plancia comune a inizio partita.
I giocatori posizionano i loro PG tutti nella grotta all'apice del dungeon, e da li si sposteranno di stanza in stanza utilizzando le scale come passaggio. Ognuno sceglie la sua strada, si andranno quindi a creare differenti avventure!

Oltre ai PG sulla plancia vengono posizionate anche le carte STANZA e le carte MOSTRO ERRANTE, che vengono sempre estratte da un mazzo in maniera casuale, sulle quali andranno posizionate le fantastiche miniature dei mostri (di color rosa). Ci sono più mostri e stanze disponibili di quelli che servono per una partita, questo permette di creare molte combinazioni per non rendere monotono il gioco (e funziona!).

Ogni PG ha sue abilità e caratteristiche speciali che si sbloccheranno mano a mano salendo di livello. Potete scegliere fra: ladro, guerriero, nano, mago e chierico.
Ma ricordiamoci che per vincere bisogna guadagnare fama. Come? Le monete fama (segnate lungo i lato sx della plancia) si guadagnano sconfiggendo i MOSTRI ERRANTI lungo il percorso e risolvendo le STANZE (ovvero svuotandole).
Per combattere si utilizzano dei dadi speciali, sulle loro facce non ci sono numeri ma simboli (spade, scudi, ecc.).
I vostri avversari ovviamente non staranno a guardarvi con le mani in mano, ma saranno pronti a intervenire per rendervi tutto più difficile e fastidioso come solo lo stile di gioco di MUNCHKIN sa fare.

Quello che potete ammirare qua sopra in tutta la sua bellezza è il Drago di Plutonio, uno dei due Boss disponibili nel set base, l'altro è il Minotarro (XD). Questa è l'unica cosa che potete scegliere personalmente, il Boss finale da affrontare e sconfiggere tre volte prima di finire la partita. Come spesso succede questo compito diventa quasi impossibile, anche perché, nel caso in cui ci andaste molto vicini, ci sono sempre i vostri avversari pronti a ostacolarvi (maledetti!). Quindi il gioco termina anche quando un giocatore raggiunge i 20 punti fama collezionati sulla plancia comune.
Una volta sconfitto, il Boss rinasce più forte di prima e il giocatore posiziona il suo PG all'ingresso del Dungeon per ripetere la discesa.

Today I propose the review of Munchkin Dungeon, a box game set in a fantasy dungeon.
My group of nerdy friends, the NERD ARMADA, and I have personally tested this game and the photos were all taken by me.

The game takes place on a board, through which players interact by moving their PG's figures (the blue figures).
The aim of the game is to become the most famous dungeon adventurer of the match and to do so you have to venture into the various rooms and go deeper and deeper.
In the image below you can see what the common board looks like at the start of the game.
The players place their PG's all in the cave at the top of the dungeon, and from there they will move from room to room using the stairs as a passage. Everyone chooses his own path, so different adventures will be created!

In addition to the PG, the ROOM cards and the WANDERING MONSTER cards are also placed on the board, which are always randomly drawn from a deck, on which the fantastic miniatures of the monsters (pink) will be placed. There are more monsters and rooms available than you need for a game, this allows you to create many combinations so as not to make the game boring (and it works!).

Each PG has their own special abilities and characteristics that will be unlocked as you level up. You can choose between: thief, warrior, dwarf, mage and cleric.
But let's remember that to win you have to earn fame. How? Fame coins (marked along the left side of the board) are earned by defeating WANDERING MONSTERS along the way and by resolving ROOMS ( emptying them).
special dice are used to fight, on their faces there are no numbers but symbols (swords, shields, etc.).
Obviously, your opponents will not wait for your victory, but they will be ready to intervene to make everything more difficult and annoying for you as only MUNCHKIN's playstyle can do.

What you can admire above in all its beauty is the Plutonium Dragon, one of the two Bosses available in the basic set, the other is the Minotarro (XD). This is the only thing you can choose personally, the final Boss to face and defeat three times before finishing the game. As often happens, this task becomes almost impossible, also because, if you go very close, there are always your opponents ready to hinder you (damn!). So the game also ends when a player reaches 20 fame points collected on the common board.
Once defeated, the Boss is reborn stronger than before and the player places his PG at the entrance to the Dungeon to repeat the descent.
