Certainly, the idea of protecting the American economy is understandable.
It’s true that some of the resources could be allocated to security initiatives and countering cyberattacks, but the question remains about how the tariff strategy will impact the global balance.
Hopefully, despite the good intentions, there won’t be too many collateral damages, neither for the USA nor for its commercial partners and allies.
