Today I will discuss food in my country Indonesia. Yes, laksa concoctions in Indonesia are different, Bogor laksa uses oncom, while Betawi laksa is similar to Bogor laksa, only the sauce uses a mixture of rebon shrimp or green beans. Meanwhile, Tangerang laksa has thick yellow sauce, with a strong spice aroma. At first glance, its appearance is similar to chicken curry. This culinary heritage, which is the legacy of the Chinese stronghold in Tangerang, even has two variants of the famous concoction, namely laksa nyai and laksa nyonya. The deliciousness of these two types of laksa is legendary.

For laksa, originally from Malaysia, it was more like noodles, yes, laksa noodles. Then in Singapore also laksa noodles, which then developed in Southeast Asia, especially Malay. That's from Malaysia, Singapore, then Indonesia. So that this modification, in the end, is not just noodles as a raw material, in Indonesia it is developing. The Tangerang laksa which is very famous, then developed again into Bogor laksa, which then developed again into Betawi laksa.

Tangerang laksa is more like noodles, yes, according to its origin. But the spicy taste remains. Then it developed into Bogor laksa, Bogor laksa has added variants, there is ketupat, then there is oncom, and other additions. Betawi Laksa is also the same, it has additional ketupat, then basil, etc. So the variants continue to develop according to the trends of each region

Culinary laksa in Tangerang, the main ingredient is noodles, made from rice flour. The sauce tastes more savory, because it is simmered at the same time as boiling the village chicken. Laksa noodles have been a favorite menu of the people of Tangerang for hundreds of years. Although now laksa noodles have not yet been established as one of the typical foods of the city of Tangerang.

Until the 70s, mobile laksa noodles still existed as wara-wiri serving their customers. Unfortunately, 20 years later, traveling laksa sellers began to disappear in Tangerang, losing in popularity to the contemporary culinary delights of today's children.

There are many versions regarding the origin of the name laksa. One theory says laksa comes from the Indies or Persian, "Lakseuhah." The name for a type of slippery noodles used to serve soup.

Lakseuhah is also believed to be an absorption of the Sanskrit "Lasha", which leads to the meaning of thousand in the creation of flavors that are rich in various spices.

Anyone who wants to enjoy the delicious Tangerang laksa can come directly to Taman Laksa at any time. Because there are laksa traders in this place who open their shops 24 hours non-stop without holidays. The local government's participation in maintaining the culinary heritage is very good. I appreciate there will be a laksa park in Tangerang that will gather the laksa traders again. I think that follows the trend that now we have to maintain the legacies of the past. That's very good, I really appreciate it. The efforts of the local regional government to preserve the culinary heritage of Chinese Peranakans in Tangerang, which is called laksa, certainly deserves thumbs up. Don't let its existence be marginalized and then disappear. So to enjoy just a portion of laksa we first travel to a country across from Malaysia or Singapore anyway.
