In un pomeriggio di sole autunnale, era ottobre, stavo godendomi la mite temperatura sul mio terrazzo quando arriva a "salutarmi" una farfalla.
Sono sempre stato molto affascinato da questi graziosi lepidotteri benché non mi sia mai documentato sulla moltitudine di specie esistenti.
La leggiadria con cui si muovono nell'aria suscita libertà, leggerezza, eleganza.
Questo splendido esemplare di Aglais Io si è posata sulla ringhiera ed io non ho potuto che farle delle foto sperando potesse rimanere il più tempo possibile.

Chissà, in alcune culture, gli animali simboleggiano una sorta di reincarnazione di qualche anima di persone volate in cielo e altri pensano che qualche nostro spirito vicino venga, a volte, a trovarci sotto forma di animale...a pensarci sarebbe bello, come qualcosa di magico.
Mi sono documentato su questo tipo di lepidottero, perché ne avevo già visti fatti così ed infatti ho scoperto che è una specie molto diffusa soprattutto in Europa e vola quasi tutto l'anno a partire dalla primavera.
Inoltre il nome Io rappresenta l'omonima sacerdotessa Giunone, dalla bellezza leggendaria.
A completare questo gradevole incontro e corredare l'esperienza con un ultimo scatto ho chiamato mia moglie invitandola a venire sul balcone per fare una bella foto, con un bel sorriso, con la bella Vanessa...peccato che batteva un sole da spaccare le pietre, nonostante la stagione...e questo è stato il risultato.

On a sunny autumn afternoon, it was October, I was enjoying the mild temperature on my balcony when a butterfly comes to "greet" me.
I have always been very fascinated by these cute moths although I have never documented the multitude of existing species.
The gracefulness with which they move in the air arouses freedom, lightness, elegance.
This lovely example of Aglais Io landed on the railing and I could only take pictures of her, hoping she could stay as long as possible.

Who knows, in some cultures, animals symbolize a sort of reincarnation of some soul of people who have flown to heaven and others think that some of our spirits close to us sometimes come to visit us in the form of an animal ... thinking about it would be nice, like something magical.
I just found out about this type of moth, because I had already seen it done like this and in fact I discovered that it is a very widespread species especially in Europe and flies almost all year round starting from spring.
Furthermore, the name Io represents the homonymous priestess Juno, of legendary beauty.
To complete this pleasant meeting and complement the experience with a last shot, I called my wife inviting her to come to the balcony to take a nice picture, with a nice smile, with the beautiful Vanessa ... too bad a sun was beating to break the stones , despite the season ... and this was the result.
