One of the shortcuts that a budding photographer can take, but who knows, maybe it's just only a shortcut of mine, is to take pictures without warning the subjects who will be involved in the shot in order to avoid incorrect poses or unwanted results. In this way, however, again in my opinion, taking pictures "secretly" allows you to have an incredible spontaneity effect. What scares me the most or perhaps gives me a sort of satisfaction is that a few seconds before I see the environment, the subjects and not just a simple shot but the meaning it will have when looking at the photograph, as if it became a moment in which you not only look at but in doing so you create a kind of representation that can preclude a story, an emotion.

So, to explain this, I would like to examine this photograph I took last summer.

I was in the small playground near home with my wife and son and while he was playing I enjoyed following him with my camera.
At one point my son runs towards my wife and approaches her. The rope of a hammock was exactly between me and them and there the vision of already seeing the shot in retrospect.
I thought,seeing the rope, to the bonds, in this case between mother and child. Furthermore, I chose to focus on the rope and not on the little child and his mother, as if to respect the intimacy of this bond which is perhaps one of the strongest bonds you can have in life.

This is my intent, to try to raise, in the viewer of the photograph, the same idea, the same emotion, the same story that our mind can create by "simply" admiring a shot from a budding photographer.

Una delle scorciatoie che un fotografo in erba può intraprendere, ma chissà, magari è solo una mia scorciatoia, è quella di fare foto senza "avvisare" i soggetti che saranno coinvolti nello scatto onde evitare pose non corrette o risultati non desiderati. In questo modo, invece, sempre a mio avviso, scattare foto "di nascosto" permette di avere un effetto di spontaneità incredibile. Ciò che più mi spaventa o forse che mi dà una sorta di soddisfazione è che qualche secondo prima vedo l'ambiente, i soggetti e non solo un semplice scatto ma il significato che avrà guardando la fotografia, come se diventasse un momento in cui non solo si guarda ma nel farlo si crea una specie di raffigurazione che possa precludere un racconto, un'emozione.

Ecco, per spiegare questo vorrei prendere in esame questa fotografia che ho scattato la scorsa estate.

Ero nel piccolo parco giochi vicino a casa con mia moglie e mio figlio e mentre lui giocava mi divertivo a seguirlo con la mia macchina fotografica.
Ad un certo punto mio figlio corre verso mia moglie e le si avvicina. La corda di un'amaca era esattamente tra me e loro e lì la visone di vedere già lo scatto a posteriori.
Ho pensato, vedendo la corda, ai legami, in questo caso tra madre e figlio. Inoltre ho scelto di mettere a fuoco la corda e non a fuoco il piccolo e la sua mamma come a voler rispettare l'intimità di questo legame che forse è uno dei legami più forti che si possono avere nella vita.

Questo è il mio intento, cercare di suscitare, in chi guarda la fotografia, la stessa idea, la stessa emozione, lo stesso racconto che la nostra mente può creare ammirando "semplicemente" uno scatto da fotografo in erba.
