With this photo I participate in the sixth week of THE BEST PHOTO OF THE WEEK contest.
The Owl, in the photograph I took the Eagle-owl, has, in the world, different attributions regarding the symbolism it arouses. For some Native American tribes the owl is an animal with a strong symbolism, very important. According to them he represented wisdom, insight, the creator of the night.
According to other tribes, on the contrary, it was synonymous with bearers of bad omen.
If we went to the other side of the world, in Asia, it is instead a symbol of protector from evil spirits.
Furthermore, in southern Europe, in ancient Greece, there seems to be evidence that the Goddess Athena was represented as an owl, a symbol of wisdom and wisdom.
In short, there seems to be some confusion regarding this animal, especially when it comes to folklore, superstition and myths that mix with real historical facts.
Then, looking at the photo, each of us can draw his own conclusions, have his own impressions about this strange bird. To me honestly it inspires a bit of mysticism, it has something magical if I observe it; it certainly doesn't give me feelings of sadness, uneasiness or fear.

Con questa foto partecipo alla sesta settimana del concorso THE BEST PHOTO OF THE WEEK.
Il Gufo, nella fotografia che ho scattato quello Reale ha, nel mondo, diverse attribuzioni riguardo alla simbologia che suscita. Per alcune tribù dei nativi americani il gufo è un animale con una forte simbologia, molto importante. Secondo loro rappresentava la saggezza, la perspicacia, il creatore della notte.
Secondo altre tribù, al contrario, era sinonimo di portatori di cattivo presagio.
Se andassimo dall'altra parte del mondo, in Asia, è invece simbolo di protettore dagli spiriti maligni.
Nell'Europa meridionale inoltre, nell'antica Grecia, pare ci siano prove che la Dea Atena venisse rappresentata come un gufo, simbolo di saggezza e sapienza.
Insomma, sembra che ci sia un po' di confusione riguardo a questo animale, soprattutto quando si tratta di folklore, superstizione e miti che si mischiano a fatti storici reali.
Poi, guardando la foto, ognuno di noi può trarre le sue conclusioni, avere le proprie impressioni riguardo questo strano volatile. A me sinceramente incute un po' di misticità, ha qualcosa di magico se lo osservo; di certo non mi dà sensazioni di tristezza, inquietudine o paura.
