Boxer Mantis - Macro Photography

A couple of years ago when I went to visit a friend in his state, I stumbled upon this insect on a flower. It is noted to be boxing mantis. It was hanging on it with something that it caught. That was close to its nectar and I think it's a butterfly or other smaller insects it captured.

The smaller insect was so tiny that I couldn't actually recognize what it was. And more so, it squeezed it beyond notice.

What a good day for the predator and a bad one for that little creature, the prey. To one, food has landed while to the other, one of them is gone. Such is life in the wild and it is survival of the fittest.
