Today's post I want to focus on old memories, forcefully returned to the limelight thanks to this old typewriter, which a dear relative gave us, will be about forty years old, more or less the age when I stopped studying typing...

In those days it was a subject that had a fair amount of importance, knowing how to type gave that sense of further knowledge that could be useful, in the subsequent insertion into the world of work, my parents, of peasant origin but quite receptive towards the world that it was evolving, I enrolled in 1st grade in an evening typing course, I remember the pages and pages I spent typing "as-as-as-as" and so on. etc. ...

That sheet of A4 paper, placed on the typewriter in such a way as not to allow viewing of the keys below, engaged the mind in the effort of memorizing their correct positioning, I must say that after a long time, also thanks to a constant typing temporal, has always allowed me to keep a good writing skills, a fact that comes in handy precisely for staying on blogging sites ...

I have always liked typing, as well as all expressions of speed, so I constantly trained to increase the number of words I could type in tests that usually lasted about ten minutes, I don't remember how far I got there, but in the evening course that I attended I was one of the fastest, especially in relation to the very low number of errors I made...

They also gave me a typewriter similar to the one you see in the photographs, bright red, also from the Olivetti brand, at the time it was an institution, an Italian brand, prestigious, I'm only sorry that, during the dissolution of a company, I made the mistake of giving it to my ex-partner, but it was a particular moment in my life, in which I had my head everywhere except in that typewriter, after some time I would have liked to have it still with me, this one I did not I'm sorry at all, but you, my "Red Head" (I had renamed it that way), I no longer have it, by the way, I also learned that even the person to whom it does not have it anymore yielded, I would have gladly taken it back, I knew perfectly well that it was wasted in his hands...

This is ancient typing machine. I saw it first in our college about seven years ago.

"To remember is to live." Greetings.

I saw this type machine in some government office only nowadays.

Our next generation will not able to see that.

You can not believe there are still some places in my country where is type writer is still used
