Qualche giorno fa mi sono recata a Roma, era da tanto che non ci andavo, e vuoi non fare una capatina al Colosseo? Tutte le volte che ho visitato questo monumento, mi sono sempre stupita della maestosità e della antica storia che esso trasmette.
Il Colosseo è il più grande anfiteatro del mondo. Posto al centro della città, tra il Foro Romano e il Circo Massimo, si erge in tutta la sua magnificenza millenaria. Ebbene sì, perchè la sua costruzione risale al 70 d.C, e nel 1980 è stato decretato come Patrimonio mondiale dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO.
Anticamente il suo uso era volto alle manifestazioni di carattere pubblico e agli spettacoli dei gladiatori.
Oggi è decisamente il simbolo di Roma, del suo antico impero, dell'ingegno archittettonico che in Italia era già presente a inizio del primo millennio.
E' il simbolo dell'Italia nel mondo, e la sua maestosità attrae migliaia di turisti ogni anno.
Quando mi reco in luoghi con una storia così antica alle spalle, mi chiedo come abbiano fatto a rimanere tali nel corso dei secoli, e sono grata del fatto che nel nostro Paese esistano opere di tale bellezza e magnificenza, come a testimoniare quanto il popolo italiano possa essere grande se riesce a incanalare nella giusta direzione le sue abilità e le sue doti.
Il Colosseo è senz'altro qualcosa che rende Indimenticabile la nostra Italia, ed è perfetto per la partecipazione a questo contest!

A few days ago I went to Rome, it had been a long time since I had been there, and would you not like to pay a visit to the Colosseum? Every time I have visited this monument, I have always been amazed by the majesty and the ancient history that it conveys.
The Colosseum is the largest amphitheatre in the world. Located in the centre of the city, between the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus, it stands in all its millenary magnificence. Yes, because its construction dates back to 70 AD, and in 1980 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In ancient times it was used for public events and gladiator shows.
Today it is definitely the symbol of Rome, of its ancient empire, of the architectural ingenuity that was already present in Italy at the beginning of the first millennium.
It is the symbol of Italy in the world, and its majesty attracts thousands of tourists every year.
When I visit places with such an ancient history behind them, I wonder how they have managed to remain so over the centuries, and I am grateful that there are works of such beauty and magnificence in our country, as if to testify how great the Italian people can be if they manage to channel their skills and talents in the right direction.
The Colosseum is undoubtedly something that makes our Italy Unforgettable, and it is perfect for the participation in this contest!

Bel post! Questi scatti del colosseo sono bellissimi. Io non sono mai stato a Roma. Metto questa meta nella lista dei posti da visitare quando arriverà di nuovo il tempo per vedere posti nuovi.

Roma, sempre bellissima per non parlare dell' Anfiteatro intitolato a Flavio, a giudicare dalle foto era una bellissima gionata. Ottimo lavoro.
Giornata molto bella e la visita al colosseo, anche se per pochi minuti, è stata molto piacevole!
È un'opera architettonica molto ben fatta, vedo Il Colosseo e ricordo i film del Gladiatore, e tutto quel programma fatto per i re dell'epoca, non lo so, suppongo che le persone che hanno fatto i film usassero questo sito e lo ha ricreato, ma di fatto il Colosseo stesso è un colosso.

Sì è proprio il Colosseo del film Il Gladiatore! Nell'antichità era proprio qui che si facevano gli incontri tra gladiatori. Sì, immagino anche io che ne abbiano fatto una riproduzione in studio, ma l'originale è proprio quello!
