Cari amici di Italy, oggi voglio condividere con voi una foto che ho scattato un paio di anni fa durante un weekend in Umbria con i miei compagni di arrampicata. Il luogo in cui ho scattato la foto si chiama Ferentillo, località del centro Italia che ospita una falesia abbastanza conosciuta a chi arrampica. Questa falesia è ricca di diversi settori in cui praticare l'arrampicata adatti sia a chi è alle prime armi, sia a chi è già navigato in questo mondo. Inoltre la falesia si distribuisce su più livelli, da cui è possibile scattare foto impressionanti come questa.
Qui ho ripreso una ragazza mentre saliva su una via. Io mi trovavo a un'altezza maggiore rispetto al livello da cui lei è partita, perciò il risultato di questa foto è che l'arrampicatrice sembrava arrampicare su una via davvero esposta! Ma da dove si trovava lei in parete, l'esposizione al vuoto era meno impressionante. Comunque questo non significa che fosse facile...ma che a volte con la giusta prospettiva si riescono a creare degli effetti davvero impressionanti!
Sullo sfondo della foto si può notare anche il paese di Ferentillo.

Dear friends of Italy, today I want to share with you a photo that I took a couple of years ago during a weekend in Umbria with my climbing friends. The place where I took the photo is called Ferentillo, a town in the centre of Italy that is home to a crag that is fairly well known to climbers. This crag is full of different sectors in which to practice climbing, suitable both for beginners and for those who are already experienced in this world. In addition, the crag is distributed over several levels, from which it is possible to take impressive photos like this one.
Here I filmed a girl climbing a route. I was at a greater height than the level from which she started, so the result of this photo is that the climber seemed to be climbing a really exposed route! But from where she was standing on the wall, the exposure to the void was less impressive. That doesn't mean it was easy, though...but sometimes with the right perspective you can create some really impressive effects!
In the background of the photo you can also see the village of Ferentillo.
The photo is my own, taken with my Samsung A6 smartphone (16Mpx camera).

I really admire these climbers, they have to be in very good condition to do these climbs. I would not try to climb any mountains, even if I was wearing a parachute. Thanks for sharing this good photo.

Non sapevo facessi climbing, sei veramente piena di risorse. Io l'ho praticato quando avevo 17 anni un mio compagno di classe era iscritto al CAI ( ora è un veterano ), e mi spinse a provare l'arrampicata.... che bei ricordi.
l'arrampicata è bella! un paio di anni fa uscivo più spesso e ho fatto un po' di gite :)

These are considered extreme sports, personally I like sports but not so extreme, I like climbing mountains but walking, but you also have to be well prepared to do it walking. Many times I take my binoculars with me and be able to observe nature from a different point of view.
I like both climbing and walking in the mountains :)
