Today dear friends for this fabulous contest I have decided to bring to your attention another wonder that is located in Lombardy: Palazzo Arese Borromeo.
The grandiose complex is an admirable example of Lombard Baroque and has a unitary and compact structure closed around a quadrilateral courtyard.
The square leads to the exedra, an elegant theater that serves as the scenographic proscenium of the seventeenth-century residence, on which the main façade stands out, rigorous and characterized by extreme simplicity without any decorative research, which conceals important cycles of seventeenth-century frescoes inside. mythological themed with stucco frames.
The building was built by the will of Borromeo III Arese, in the year 1654 and underwent various additions, made with harmonious consistency with respect to the existing one.
Built on the traces of a defensive tower in Cesano, the building was initially a small residence, but was enlarged with the growing importance of the Arese family who was able to keep its appearance intact, thanks also to the permanence of the same. family in the residence for over 3 centuries.
