Day 3 Greece - Ferryboat Journey

in Italy2 years ago

Hi Family,

My vacation continues. This time I started my actifit tracker immediately and counted my whole day.

Todays plan was to visit the island of Thasos. The only way to get there is to take a ferry boat from Keramoti or Kavala. Since Keramoti is shorter distance, we decided to drive to this city and do it from there.

Because Greece had the Covid restrictions. Everyone on-board had to have either undergone an Antigen test in the last 48 hours or be vaccinated in the last 180 days. Because I got it already like an year ago I did not want to get a vaccine too, so just prepared an Antigen test and all went smooth. As you can see, the ferry boat is not crowded at all.

A very pleasant journey I should say.

The weather was chilly and we were accompanied by a big flock of Seagulls.

We finally docked and I decided to take a walk around the port city.

Loved the dolphins statue.

All boat trips started from 10 o'clock on the morning. We were late for those so moved on.

Some of the restaurant on the beach. I love the look.

And of course, the beloved sea. Crystal clean and so beautiful. Thasos is known for its marble beaches. The white house is actually built from Thasos marbles. Which is why it is white 😁

These are actually marble blocks. Huge and amazing.

And this is the Karnagio Bar. Excellent place to marvel upon the marbles. The whole beach is white and at the end there is a Thasos Sunrise Spot.

Here it is :)

And now some picture of the amazing rocks just after the white beach. This is the Thasos Sunrise Spot.

Located just after the Carnagio restaurant.

Was very close to the waves as the got crazy. Almost caught me off guard.

After this amazing view. I decided to just get a sunbed and chill for a couple of hours.

I had a lot of fun today and also rested good. Got a darker tan 🔥

Thank you for visiting my blog.
