UNFORGETTABLE ITALY contest: Week 28
Padova,Northern Italy
the city was beautiful and the atmosphere was unique
It had all the vibrancy and options of a city,
but without the chaos of a big city.
The river Brenta that runs through the city, combined with the various canals that you find in different places, make the place seem even more special
The central square "Prato della valle"
was quite picturesque and was a perfect meeting point for citizens.
In Padua I was lucky enough to taste handmade pasta
and to see a Catholic church from the inside for the first time
It had a very special atmosphere and I was struck by the fact that there were several statues inside
this is something that you don't find in Orthodox churches, which only have paintings and murals
Padua was an amazing experience and I would definitely visit it again if I had the chance
photos are my property and had been taken during a past trip to north Italy
