1000 DAYS OF STEEM - The Diary Game - 20/09/2020: A tough weekend - Un weekend tosto [ENG-ITA]

Hello everyone!

This has just passed has been a difficult week.

I would immediately point out that nothing particularly serious has happened, but a concomitance of events has arisen which has made it more difficult than normal to carry out daily activities.

As I told in this post, my son Leonardo started going back to school last Monday.

The impact from the psychological point of view was very good...a little less than the physical one.

In fact, already on Tuesday afternoon, after only two days of school, we noticed that he was cold.

For this reason, also given the very particular situation linked to Covid, we immediately decided to keep him at home until he recovered.

Let me be clear...we would have done it even in a normal situation, because it's risky to send a child in precarious conditions to school, since it can get worse and infect his classmates.
It seems obvious, but I assure you that it is not for everyone in reality.

So we started monitoring him, especially to see if he had a fever, but luckily it didn't come.
We did the aerosol therapy twice a day, nebulizing a solution based on hyaluronic acid which is indicated for the treatment of diseases such as colds or allergies.

He, as usual, was very good.

Although he was not always able to sleep well at night and even during the day we were always there with the handkerchief to wipe his nose, the situation seemed to gradually improve.

The problem, however, is that almost immediately the little brother, who has not yet turned one, began to show symptoms of a cold. Needless to say, we knew it was going to happen...it was impossible for the opposite to happen.

However, being smaller and therefore a little less strong, he had a bit of fever and this caused us some concern, since fever in small children is already normally to be kept under control, even more so now, again for the usual reasons related to Covid.

And so, this weekend was really stressful, with two children who are not 100%, nervous about their condition, not always willing (especially the little one) to undergo the necessary therapies to heal.

It will pass, ok...I hope it will happen soon.

Rather, the question I ask myself is...will it be up to us now too?

Even if the answer is practically obvious...fingers crossed! 🤞

Ciao a tutti!

Questa che è appena trascorsa è stata una settimana difficile.

Preciso subito che non è successo nulla di particolarmente grave, ma si è presentata una concomitanza di eventi che ha reso più difficile del normale lo svolgimento delle attività quotidiane.

Come ho raccontato in questo post, mio figlio Leonardo ha ricominciato ad andare a scuola lunedì scorso.

L'impatto dal punto di vista psicologico è stato molto buono...un po' meno quello fisico.

Infatti, già martedì pomeriggio, dopo soli due giorni di scuola, abbiamo notato che era raffreddato.

Per questo motivo, anche vista la particolarissima situazione legata al Covid, abbiamo immediatamente deciso di tenerlo a casa fino a quando non si fosse ristabilito.

Sia chiaro...l'avremmo fatto anche in una situazione di normalità, perché è rischioso mandare a scuola un bambino in precarie condizioni, visto che può peggiorare e contagiare i suoi compagni.
Sembra scontato, ma vi assicuro che non per tutti lo è nella realtà dei fatti.

Quindi abbiamo iniziato a monitorarlo, soprattutto per capire se aveva la febbre, ma per fortuna non gli è venuta.
Allora siamo partiti a fare l'aerosol due volte al giorno, nebulizzando una soluzione a base di acido ialuronico che è indicata per la cura di patologie come raffreddori o allergie.

Lui, come al solito, è stato bravissimo.

Nonostante non sempre sia riuscito a dormire bene di notte e anche di giorno eravamo sempre lì con il fazzoletto per asciugargli il naso, la situazione è sembrata andare via via migliorando.

Il problema però è che quasi subito anche il fratellino, che non ha ancora compiuto un anno, ha iniziato a mostrare i sintomi di un raffreddamento. Inutile dirlo, sapevamo che sarebbe successo...era impossibile che si verificasse il contrario.

Lui però, essendo più piccolo e per questo un po' meno forte, ha avuto un po' di febbre e questo ci ha procurato una certa preoccupazione, visto che già normalmente la febbre nei bimbi piccoli è da tenere sotto controllo, ancora di più adesso, sempre per i soliti motivi legati al Covid.

E così, questo weekend è stato davvero stressante, con due bambini che non sono al 100%, nervosi per la loro condizione, non sempre disposti (soprattutto il piccolino) a sottoporsi alle terapie necessarie per guarire.

Passerà, ok...mi auguro che succeda presto.

Piuttosto, la domanda che mi faccio è...adesso toccherà anche a noi??
