il campionato di Serie A ha visto chiudersi ieri la sua ottava giornata, trascorsa tra clamorose conferme, rimonte entusiasmanti e risultati a sorpresa.
La testa della classifica rimane saldamente ad appannaggio del Milan, vittoriosa sul terreno del San Paolo di Napoli molto oltre quello che il risultato finale di 3-1 può raccontare: i rossoneri hanno dominato la gara fin dalle prime battute, soffrendo solo sul finire del primo tempo il ritorno degli avversari.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic si sta rivelando, a 39 anni suonati, ancora più decisivo che nelle migliori stagioni del passato, confermandosi fuoriclasse assoluto, fondamentale per le manovre rossonere: il suo infortunio (si sospetta uno stiramento) potrebbe essere una brutta tegola per il Milan, che comunque ha dimostrato, anche in assenza del capocannoniere della Serie A, di poter comunque cavarsela egregiamente.
Sul Milan non ci avrei scommesso, così come non sono un estimatore del suo allenatore, Stefano Pioli, ma vittorie come quella di ieri difficilmente vengono per caso.
Discorso inverso per il Napoli, che ritenevo alla vigilia favorito in questo scontro diretto. Gattuso continua ad evidenziare alti e bassi nel suo percorso partenopeo, e la tanto auspicata maturità della squadra evidentemente ancora non c'è. Il Napoli ha fin qui ben figurato contro le squadre che la seguono in classifica, ma ha perso malamente contro le prime due (oltre che a tavolino con la Juventus). Temo che la stagione attuale sia destinata a diventare una copia conforme di quella passata, nella quale la squadra di De Laurentiis è ben presto scivolata indietro in classifica, trovandosi tagliatra fuori troppo presto da ogni possibilie discorso di vittoria.
Quest'anno, in soli sei punti, sono raggruppate le prime otto in graduatoria, fatto assai raro nei campionati precedenti. Ma se ciò può significare che le possibilità di recupero rimangono intatte, è altresì specchio di come la concorrenza (o il livellamento) sia esponenzialmente aumentato.
Bene il Sassuolo, che non ha dovuto faticare troppo, contro un Verona largamente rimaneggiato, per ottenere i tre punti e consolidare il sorprendente secondo posto, alle spalle del Milan. I gioielli neroverdi Locatelli e Berardi hanno incantato in nazionale e sembrano aver raggiunto la maturità e la consapevolezza per fare le fortune, un domani, di una grande squadra; nel frattempo il Sassuolo se li gode giustamente, sognando di poter centrare per la seconda volta nella storia un traguardo europeo e De Zerbi si conferma sempre più allenatore preparato e dal brillante futuro.
Ed è proprio con il suo allenatore esordiente, Andrea Pirlo, che anche i campioni d'Italia della Juventus sembrano rinascere dopo un avvio balbettante. La squadra vista nell'anticipo di sabato contro il Cagliari, è parsa decisamente in ottima forma, con le idee di gioco chiare e con una capacità di aggredire gli avversari mai vista nella stagione precedente.
Pirlo ha da subito dichiarato di fare del recupero della palla il sistema cardine del gioco, per portare i suoi uomini a dialogare stabilmente nella metà campo avversaria: dopo le avvisaglie di miglioramento con la Lazio i piemontesi hanno compiuto un ulteriore step in avanti, beneficiando anche del rientro di un monumentale De Ligt e del sempre verde Cristiano Ronaldo, giunto a quota otto reti in cinque presenze, ma occorrerà non esaltarsi troppo, per non farsi prendere dallo sconforto in caso di ulteriori cadute dovute all'inesperienza della rosa.
Sorprendente la Roma, che pur senza Dzeko dimostra di possedere soluzioni offensive che forse nemmeno dalle parti di Trigoria sospettavano di avere; Mkhitaryan appare in stato di grazia, così come Borja Mayoral, capace di non far rimpiangere l'assenza del capitano. Un anno in più di conoscenza e qualche inserimento azzeccato giunto dal mercato rendono la formazione capitolina in grado di dire la sua per le posizioni di vertice: forse la squadra di Fonseca non è ancora totalmente matura per competere per lo scudetto, ma non dovrebbe faticare a terminare tra le prime quattro.
Conclude il quadro delle favorite l'Inter di Antonio Conte, capace di compiere una strepitosa rimonta dallo 0-2 al 4-2, ma ancora non in grado di convincere appieno gli scettici. Se da un lato la squadra nerazzura continua a dimostrare grande carattere e grinta, che la portano a recuperare situazioni all'apparenza disperate, dall'altra il gioco della squadra è ben distante da quelli che sono i dettami del suo allenatore. In un'intervista televisiva post-gara, Giancarlo Marocchi, ex compagno di Conte alla Juventus, ha fatto notare all'attuale allenatore dell'Inter come la sua squadra giochi meglio quando si trova con le spalle al muro, facendo leva più sulla grinta e sulla determinazione che sulla tattica.
La stoccata non è stata digerita appieno da Conte, ma qualcosa di vero pare esserci: parallelamente a quanto accaduto l'anno scorso con Maurizio Sarri alla Juventus, Conte e l'Inter appaiono ogni giorno che passa due corpi sempre più estranei e il mancato utilizzo di Erikssen, colpo pregiato del mercato per la società, non fa che acuire una spaccatura apparsa evidente fin dall'estate.

La sconfitta rimediata a domicilio dal Benevento, soprattutto per il modo in cui è maturata, rende la stagione dei viola ancora più complicata, soprattutto da un punto di vista psicologico.
L'ex allenatore della nazionale, Cesare Prandelli, non si aspettava una situazione tanto critica, e ha candidamente dichiarato che, senza un cambio di mentalità, uscire dalle sabbie mobili nelle quali la squadra sembra immersa, diventerà operazione difficile. Auguri.
Dopo solo otto giornate un terzetto di squadre sembra infine già staccarsi, più per qualità del gioco che per punti in classifica, dal resto delle concorrenti: Crotone, Genoa e Torino appaiono ad oggi seriamente candidate alla retrocessione, e la sensazione che presto una delle tre cambierà l'allenatore rimane forte.
