RE: [ENG-ITA] || May 17, International Child Helpline Day || Giornata internazionale della linea di assistenza per i bambini
We also have a child support hotline where i live. Never called them, even if i probably would've needed them... But what should i have said to them?
- That i got beaten frequently ba mother?
I've always thought that's normal back then - That we must call often the Carabinieri (=police) for my uncle who deals with coke?
Back then i didn't knew he deals with coke, i just witnessed the Carabinieri coming and leaving - That i got bullied in school?
I thought about that, sure, but i also thought when the others from my class get to know i called them they will bully me even more
Now, older and wiser, it would've maby been a good idea to call them. But back then for the first two points i didn't knew about them and for the third point i really was too afraid for more bullying, unfortunately...
But it's good, that we have a day that reminds to child support helpline and even "gooder" (i know, it's "better" :P ) that many countries have such a service! It's a very important topic, thanks for sharing that day with us :)
SORRY to hear your childhood worse experiences! yes with the age we get wiser but we can't forget such abuse and bad incidents happened, bitter memories indeed! we all have such stories more or less! Thanks for taking time to read and appreciate the day observation.
