Oggi ho deciso di creare un post con delle foto scattate a casa, proponendo un classico del periodo natalizio ormai agli sgoccioli: il Presepe. Colgo anche l'occasione per partecipare al Contest per foto e arte in bianco e nero della comunità World of Xpilar e al contest The Best Xmas Post della comunità Italy (anche se non sono sicuro che questo post rientri nella categoria ammessa).
Il Presepe è la rappresentazione dei luoghi e delle situazioni descritte e tramandate nella religione cristiana, attraverso i testi sacri adottati da questa fede. Qui in Italia è una tradizione assodata, e molti gruppi di persone ne ricreano in maniera originale e fantasiosa: alcuni vengono riprodotti con statuine artigianali, altri attraverso oggetti di vario tipo ritrovabili in casa propria, altri più complessi attraverso gruppi di persone vestite di tutto punto secondo i dettami dell'epoca di Gesù di Nazareth. Insomma, chi più ne ha più ne metta.
Quello che ho a casa è un presepe che la mia famiglia ha preparato e che è diventato un “must” da parecchi anni, anche se la fisionomia è cambiata un po'. È stato infatti adattato agli angoli più nascosti tra i mobili, lontani dal dannoso coinquilino adottato ormai da più di un anno.
Ho raccolto otto foto e creato una versione in bianco e nero, ognuna con colorazioni molto scure, giocando un po' con vignettature e diversi altri ritocchi a luci e ombre. Spero che il risultato ti piaccia e ti auguro una buona visione.

Today I decided to create a post with the photos I took at home, representing the one that is a classic of Christmastime, now in the last days: the Nativity scene. I also take this opportunity to participate in the Black and white photography and art contest of the World of Xpilar community and in the contest The Best Xmas Post of the Italy community (although I'm not sure if this post falls into the allowed category).
The Nativity Scene is the representation of the places and situations described and handed down in the Christian religion, into the sacral books adopted by this faith. Here in Italy it's an established tradition, and many people recreate some types of imaginative and original ones: someone of them being reproduced with artisan figures, other ones through many items that it's possible to find in own home, other more difficult ones with several people dressed following the period costumes of Jesus. So on and so forth.
What I have at home is a Nativity scene my family prepared and that became a “must” for some years, even if the appearances changed a little. It has been adapted to the most sudden angles between our furnishings, and far away from the dangerous roommate we adopted more than a year ago.
I collected eight photos and created a black&white version with much-dark tones for each one, playing a few with vignetting, and several adjustments on lights and shadows. I hope you like it and enjoy the photostory.
