Peschef: Tasty Fish Sandwiches [ENG - ITA]
The lockdown and the pandemic have drastically reduced the outings and consumption of restaurants or pizzerias but have greatly increased the number of takeaways and home deliveries, ordering through applications that deal with the online booking service. My wife and I used to eat in an innovative place specializing in sandwiches stuffed with fish such as salmon, tuna, swordfish, prawns, octopus and other specialties. the restaurant is called Peschef and is located in the historic center of the city of Trani, near the city port, therefore in a very special location, a destination for many tourists and more.
A few nights ago, we decided to order our favorite fish sandwiches, which have been abstinent for many months now. I am a lover of salmon and I chose the lightly seared steak with caramelized onion, fresh cheese and salad. I love the salmon a little cooked on the plate because it absorbs that slight aroma of smoked while inside it remains a little raw, creating a nice contrast of flavors. The sweetness of the caramelized onion is a very pleasant sensation, combined with the freshness of the cheese. A 10 and praise sandwich.
My wife, on the other hand, preferred the prawns lightly cooked and cooled in ice, a very pleasant body to the taste together with a lightly spiced sauce, stracciatella and even here a little salad. The sandwich is really very good and crunchy and its flaky surface is reminiscent of the turtle shield, from which it takes its name turtle sandwiches.
Peschef is truly a guarantee of product quality and freshness. The fish used in the condiments is collected daily from a local trusted fishmonger, which I also know well because this is where I buy the fish. They are also hygienic freaks and everything is regularly wrapped and packaged flawlessly. Peschef has adopted recyclable material therefore exclusively paper and cardboard, it does not supply plastic material. Obviously it not only offers sandwiches but also fried fish, carpaccio, seafood salads, sometimes it is also possible to order some first courses such as seafood risotto which is truly an excellence! However, it is better to eat them directly in the restaurant, when you can return to do so freely.
The home delivery service is free for spending over 20 euros. In truth, a sandwich filled with fish costs around 10 euros, a high cost compared to a classic hamburger or hot doc but it is known that seafood products are more expensive for the fishing and processing process. A sandwich is enough to satiate the stomach of an adult but those who have a particular appetite could leave them unsatisfied so I recommend adding a side dish such as baked potatoes or small pieces of fried fish for example.
My vote is 10, I am really very satisfied with everything I ate and I consider the value for money to be perfectly in line with the current market costs.

Il blocco e la pandemia hanno ridotto drasticamente le uscite ei consumi di ristoranti o pizzerie ma hanno notevolmente aumentato il numero di rosticcerie e consegne a domicilio, ordinando tramite applicazioni che si occupano del servizio di prenotazione online. Mia moglie ed io mangiavamo in un locale innovativo specializzato in panini ripieni di pesce come salmone, tonno, pesce spada, gamberi, polpo e altre specialità. il ristorante si chiama Peschef e si trova nel centro storico della città di Trani, vicino al porto cittadino, quindi in una location molto particolare, meta di tanti turisti e non solo.
Qualche sera fa, abbiamo deciso di ordinare i nostri panini preferiti di pesce, che ormai da molti mesi non si sono fermati. Sono un amante del salmone e ho scelto la bistecca leggermente scottata con cipolla caramellata, formaggio fresco e insalata. Adoro il salmone un po 'cotto nel piatto perché assorbe quel leggero aroma di affumicato mentre all'interno rimane un po' crudo, creando un bel contrasto di sapori. La dolcezza della cipolla caramellata è una sensazione molto piacevole, unita alla freschezza del formaggio. Un panino da 10 e lode.
Mia moglie, invece, ha preferito i gamberi leggermente cotti e raffreddati nel ghiaccio, un corpo molto gradevole al gusto insieme ad un sugo leggermente speziato, la stracciatella e anche qui un po 'di insalata. Il panino è davvero molto buono e croccante e la sua superficie traballante ricorda lo scudo di tartaruga, da cui prende il nome panini di tartaruga.
Peschef è davvero una garanzia di qualità e freschezza del prodotto. Il pesce utilizzato nei condimenti viene raccolto quotidianamente da una pescheria locale di fiducia, che anch'io conosco bene perché è qui che compro il pesce. Sono anche patiti dell'igiene e tutto viene regolarmente avvolto e confezionato in modo impeccabile. Peschef ha adottato materiale riciclabile quindi esclusivamente carta e cartone, non fornisce materiale plastico. Ovviamente non propone solo panini ma anche fritture di pesce, carpacci, insalate di mare, a volte è possibile ordinare anche dei primi piatti come il risotto ai frutti di mare che è davvero un'eccellenza! Comunque è meglio mangiarli direttamente al ristorante, quando puoi tornare a farlo liberamente.
Il servizio di consegna a domicilio è gratuito per una spesa superiore ai 20 euro. In verità un panino ripieno di pesce costa intorno ai 10 euro, un costo elevato rispetto ad un classico hamburger o hot doc ma si sa che i prodotti ittici sono più costosi per la pesca e il processo di lavorazione. Un panino è sufficiente per saziare lo stomaco di un adulto ma chi ha un appetito particolare potrebbe lasciarlo insoddisfatto quindi consiglio di aggiungere un contorno come patate al forno o pezzetti di pesce fritto per esempio.
Il mio voto è 10, sono davvero molto soddisfatto di tutto quello che ho mangiato e ritengo il rapporto qualità prezzo perfettamente in linea con gli attuali costi di mercato.
