Ho visto il video che ha fatto Andra Scanzi sulle recenti dichiarazioni di Erri De Luca e Francesco de Gregori.
Mi trova sostanzialmente concorde.
Erri de Luca ha dicharato che lui e' sionista fino alla morte, che non c'e' stato alcun genocidio a Gaza e via discorrendo.
Sono un discreto lettore di libri, non ne ho mai letto uno suo, mi sono limitato ogni tanto a vederlo in tv, mi e' sembrato sempre il classico tipo convinto di elargire perle di saggezza al mondo, lo conosco poco ma quel poco che ho conosciuto diciamo che non mi ha strabiliato.
Il fatto che abbia detto cio' che ha detto francamente mi interessa meno di nulla, il tipo mi era indifferente prima ed oggi ho ancora meno ragioni di seguirlo per non dire stimarlo.

De Gregori e' un discorso differente.
Ho amato l'album Rimmel, ha fatto poi qualcosa di buono dopo, 3/4 pezzi diciamo, ora saranno 30 anni che, al di la' di atteggiarsi a Dylan dei poveri non ha prodotto nulla di interessante.
Ha affermato che l'artista non dovrebbe prendere posizione criticando Springsteen (De Gregori che critica Springsteen....e' il mondo che si capovolge) per le sue prese di posizioni anti Trump.
Fino a qua' si trattava di un opinione, legittima, che non condivido ma ci puo' stare.

Quando pero' poi dice che non ha abbastanza elementi per giudicare cio' che e' accaduto a Gaza allora o c'e' malafede o siamo di fronte ad uno che non e' in grado di intendere e volere.
Settantamila morti, in gran parte civili e bambini, credo che siano una buona base di partenza per farsi un'opinione.
Molti pensano che lui sia di sinistra perche' ha scritto quella gran paraculata de La Storia, credo che dopo la contestazione che subi' ad un suo concerto la sinistra lui non l'abbia piu' voluta vedere neanche di nascosto.

Dire come ha fatto lui che un artista non dovrebbe prendere posizioni politiche e' una cazzata da qualunque parte la si guardi.
Manifesto' apprezzamento per Monti, Scanzi dice anche per Renzi, comunque situazioni che con la sinistra non c'entrano nulla.
Peccato, non sono esattamente un fan della sua carriera ma mi era sembrato sempre un uomo intelligente, probabilmente mi sbagliavo oppure le aspettative nei suoi confronti erano troppo alte.

I saw the video Andra Scanzi made about the recent statements by Erri De Luca and Francesco de Gregori.
I basically agree.
Erri de Luca declared that he is a Zionist until death, that there was no genocide in Gaza, and so on.
I'm a decent book reader, but I've never read any of his books. I've only watched him on TV every now and then. He's always seemed like the classic guy convinced he's imparting pearls of wisdom to the world. I don't know him very well, but the little I've learned hasn't amazed me.
The fact that he said what he said, frankly, doesn't interest me at all. I was indifferent to the guy before, and today I have even less reason to follow him, let alone respect him.

De Gregori is a different story. I loved the Rimmel album, and then he did something good after that, maybe three or four songs, but now it's been 30 years since he's produced anything interesting, beyond acting like a poor man's Dylan.
He said the artist shouldn't take a stand criticizing Springsteen (De Gregori criticizing Springsteen... it's the world turning upside down) for his anti-Trump stance.
Up to that point, it was a legitimate opinion, one that I don't share, but it's acceptable.

But when he then says he doesn't have enough evidence to judge what happened in Gaza, then either he's acting in bad faith or we're dealing with someone who's incapable of understanding and willing.
Seventy thousand deaths, mostly civilians and children, I think is a good starting point for forming an opinion.
Many think he's left-wing because he wrote that bullshit "History." I think after the protests he faced at one of his concerts, he didn't want to see the left anymore, not even secretly.

Saying, as he did, that an artist shouldn't take political positions is bullshit no matter how you look at it.
He expressed appreciation for Monti, Scanzi also says for Renzi, but these situations have nothing to do with the left.
It's a shame. I'm not exactly a fan of his career, but he always seemed intelligent to me. I was probably wrong, or the expectations of him were too high.
